Description

As part of an aviation demonstration initiative, this experimental web site is being developed as a tactical decision aid to help traffic flow decision-makers better manage climb and descent traffic in and out of the Orlando International Airport. Individual forecast graphics depict the anticipated thunderstorm coverage (not to include convective showers) integrated across the indicated 1-hour period. Coverage areas are color-coded and identified as being either None, Isolated, Scattered, Numerous, or Widespread according to the product legend. The forecast graphics are collaboratively produced by CWSU Jacksonville and WFO Melbourne. They are issued twice per day, Monday through Friday (except holidays), at 1515 UTC and 1815 UTC. The demonstration period runs from 18 June to 12 September, 2008 . For more information, please see the Product Description Document.
