...LA ALERTA DE INUNDACIONES REPENTINAS CONTINÚA EN VIGENCIA
PARADADO DE SIERRA CENTRAL HASTA QUE 30 MINUTOS DESPUÉS DE LAS 6 DE
LA TARDE, MDT,

A 37 MINUTOS DESPUÉS DE LAS 4 DE LA TARDE, MDT, DOPPLER RADAR DEL
SERVICIO NACIONAL METEORLÓGICO CONTINUARON A INDICAR TORMENTAS CON
LLUVIA INTENSA SOBRE DE LA ÁREA ADVERTIDA.

EL RADAR DEL SERVICIO NACIONAL DE METEOROLGÍA ESTIMABA DE HASTA 4
PULGADAS DE LLUVIA HABÍA CAÍDO DENTRO DE LA ÁREA ADVERTIDA. LAS
INUNDACIONES DE RIACHUELOS...DE ARROYOS Y DE ÁREAS BAJOS DONDE CORRA
EL AGUA ESTÁN PROBABLE. LAS TORMENTAS QUE PRODUJERON LA LLUVIA
INTENSA ESTÁN PERDIÉNDOSE FUERZA...PERO LA TOMARÁN ALGO DEL TIEMPO
PARA EXCESO DE LA PRECIPITACIÓN PLUVIAL PARA ELIMINAR.

LAS ÁREAS AFECTADAS INCLUYEN...UPHAM,

MEDIDAS DE SEGURIDAD Y PREPARACIÓN,

LA PRECIPITACIÓN PLUVIAL EXCESIVA PUEDE DAR VUELTA RÁPIDAMENTE A
ARROYADAS ÁRIDAS Y A LOS ARROYOS DEL DESIERTO HASTA LOS RÍOS QUE
RABIAN...INCLUSO EN ÁREAS LEJOS DE DONDE HA CAÍDO LA LLUVIA. NO
TENTATIVA PASAR POR LOS ARROYOS INUNDADOS. RÁPIDAMENTE MOVER EL AGUA
PUEDE TALLAR ARROYADAS EN PREVIAMENTE BAJAS PROFUNDAS DE LOS
CANALES...Y EL AGUA PUEDE SER MUCHO MÁS PROFUNDA QUE PARECE. SI SU
RUTA SE CORTA POR LOS ARROYOS INUNDADOS...ESPERA PARA QUE LOS AGUAS
DE LA INUNDACION BAJEN.

EL TERRENO MONTAÑOSO EN ALLÍ ES CENTENARES DE LAS ÁREAS BAJOS DONDE
CORRA EL AGUA QUE SON LA LLUVIA INTENSA POTENCIALMENTE PELIGROSA DEL
EN. NO TENTATIVA AL VIAJAR SOBRE DE LOS CAMINOS INUNDADOS. TOMA
SOLAMENTE ALGUNA PULGADAS DE LA AGUA CORRIENDO RÁPIDAMENTE PARA
LLEVAR LOS VEHÍCULOS DE DISTANCIA.

...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR CENTRAL SIERRA COUNTY
UNTIL 630 PM MDT...

AT 437 PM MDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR CONTINUED TO
INDICATE THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAINFALL ACROSS THE WARNED AREA.

NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR ESTIMATED UP TO 4 INCHES OF RAIN HAD
FALLEN WITHIN THE WARNED AREA. FLOODING OF SMALL STREAMS...ARROYOS
AND LOW WATER CROSSINGS IS LIKELY. THUNDERSTORMS THAT PRODUCED THE
HEAVY RAINFALL ARE WEAKENING...BUT IT WILL TAKE SOME TIME FOR THE
EXCESS RAINFALL TO DRAIN OFF.

LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE...
  UPHAM...

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

EXCESSIVE RAINFALL CAN QUICKLY TURN DRY DESERT WASHES AND ARROYOS
INTO RAGING RIVERS...EVEN IN AREAS FAR FROM WHERE RAIN HAS FALLEN. DO
NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS FLOODED ARROYOS. SWIFTLY MOVING WATER CAN CARVE
DEEP CHANNELS IN PREVIOUSLY SHALLOW WASHES...AND WATER CAN BE MUCH
DEEPER THAN IT APPEARS. IF YOUR ROUTE BECOMES CUT OFF BY FLOODED
ARROYOS...WAIT FOR FLOOD WATERS TO RECEDE.

IN HILLY TERRAIN THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF LOW WATER CROSSINGS WHICH ARE
POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS IN HEAVY RAIN. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO TRAVEL ACROSS
FLOODED ROADS. IT ONLY TAKES A FEW INCHES OF SWIFTLY FLOWING WATER TO

ESTA PERSPECTIVA DE TIEMPO PELIGROSO ES PARA ÁREAS DEL NORTE Y
CENTRAL DE NUEVO MÉXICO.

.PRIMER DÍA...HOY Y ESTA NOCHE...

LAS LLUVIAS Y TORMENTAS EXTENSAMENTE DISPERSADAS SOBRE EL ESTE DE
NUEVO MÉXICO DISMINUIRÁN GRADUALMENTE LA ÁREA AFECTADA E INTENSIDAD
PARA MEDIA MAÑANA. ESTO DARÁ LUGAR A UNA NUEVA SUCESIÓN DE
DISPERSADO A LAS TORMENTAS NUMEROSAS ESTA TARDE HASTA EL ATARDECER
SOBRE DEL NORTE Y CENTRAL DE NUEVO MÉXICO. EL MOVIMIENTO LENTO DE
TORMENTAS PRODUCIRÁ LA LLUVIA LOCALMENTE INTENSA QUE PODRÍA CONDUCIR
A LAS INUNDACIONES. LAS TORMENTAS PUEDEN TAMBIÉN RESULTAR EN EL
GRANIZO PEQUEÑO...Y EL VIENTO BORRASCOSO DE HASTA 50 MILLAS POR
HORA.

.SEGUNDO DÍA AL SÉPTIMO DÍA...MIÉRCOLES HASTA LUNES...

UN BREVE INTERRUPTOR EN QUE LA CONFIGURACIÓN ACTIVA ES PRONOSTICADO
EL MIÉRCOLES. ENTONCES OTRO FRENTE FRÍO DEL ESTE REFORZARÁ LA ÁREA
AFECTADA POR LAS TORMENTAS PARA JUEVES HASTA SÁBADO EL PERÍODO CON
DISPERSADO A LAS TORMENTAS NUMEROSAS PRONOSTICADAS. LOS MOVIMIENTOS
DE LA TORMENTA SERÁN LENTOS Y LA PRECIPITACIÓN PLUVIAL PODRÍA ESTAR
INTENSA OCASIONALMENTE. ESTO PUDO RESULTAR EN ÁREAS LOCALIZADAS DE
LAS INUNDACIONES REPENTINAS...ESPECIALMENTE SOBRE Y DE LAS
CICATRICES RECIENTES Y MÁS VIEJAS CERCANAS DE LA QUEMADURA. ÁREAS
AISLADAS PUEDEN RECIBIR DE HASTA 2 PULGADAS DE LA PRECIPITACIÓN
PLUVIAL. ALGUNAS TORMENTAS PUEDEN TAMBIÉN PRODUCIR EL GRANIZO
PEQUEÑO Y RÁFAGAS DE VIENTO DE HASTA 50 MILLAS POR HORA.

...INFORME DE LOS OBSERVADORES VOLUNTARIOS

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF NORTH AND CENTRAL
NEW MEXICO.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

WIDESPREAD SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS EASTERN NEW MEXICO
WILL GRADUALLY DIMINISH IN COVERAGE AND INTENSITY BY MID-MORNING.
THIS WILL GIVE WAY TO A NEW ROUND OF SCATTERED TO NUMEROUS
THUNDERSTORMS THIS AFTERNOON INTO THE EVENING ACROSS NORTHERN AND
CENTRAL NEW MEXICO. SLOW MOVEMENT OF STORMS WILL PRODUCE LOCALLY
HEAVY RAINFALL WHICH COULD LEAD TO FLOODING. STORMS MAY ALSO
PRODUCE SMALL HAIL...AND GUSTY WINDS UP TO 50 MPH.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY

A BRIEF BREAK IN THE ACTIVE PATTERN IS EXPECTED ON WEDNESDAY. THEN
ANOTHER BACKDOOR COLD FRONT WILL BOOST STORM COVERAGE FOR THE
THURSDAY THROUGH SATURDAY PERIOD WITH SCATTERED TO NUMEROUS
THUNDERSTORMS EXPECTED. STORM MOTIONS WILL BE SLOW AND RAINFALL
COULD BECOME HEAVY AT TIMES. THIS MAY LEAD TO LOCALIZED AREAS OF
FLASH FLOODING... ESPECIALLY OVER AND NEAR RECENT AND OLDER BURN
SCARS. ISOLATED LOCATIONS MAY RECEIVE UP TO 2 INCHES OF RAINFALL.
A FEW STORMS MAY ALSO PRODUCE SMALL HAIL AND WIND GUSTS TO 50 MPH.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

SPOTTERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO REPORT RAINFALL AMOUNTS AND ANY FLOODING
THROUGH THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ALBUQUERQUE WEB SITE AT
