THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN TUCSON HAS ISSUED A WIND
ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM TO 7 PM MST SATURDAY.

* IMPACTS...THERE IS THE POTENTIAL FOR HAZARDOUS DRIVING
  CONDITIONS TO RESULT FROM ISOLATED AREAS OF BLOWING DUST.
  DRIVING MAY ALSO BE DIFFICULT FOR HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES.

* TIMING...WINDS WILL INCREASE DURING THE LATE MORNING HOURS WITH
  THE STRONGEST WINDS DURING THE AFTERNOON SATURDAY. WINDS WILL
  TAPER OFF IN THE EARLY EVENING. THE ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT FROM
  11 AM TO 7 PM MST SATURDAY.

* WINDS...WEST WINDS OF 25 TO 35 MPH WITH GUSTS OF 45 TO 50 MPH.
  THE HIGHER WIND SPEEDS WILL OCCUR IN AND NEAR THE MOUNTAINS.

.A STRONG UPPER LEVEL LOW PRESSURE CROSSING THE SOUTHERN ROCKIES
SATURDAY INTO SUNDAY MORNING WILL PRODUCE LEE SIDE TROUGHING AT
THE SURFACE OVER EASTERN NEW MEXICO. THE RESULTING TIGHT SURFACE
PRESSURE GRADIENT COMBINED WITH DEEP MIXING WILL PRODUCE HIGH
WINDS ACROSS THE ENTIRE AREA. THE HIGH WINDS...COMBINED WITH LOW
HUMIDITY AND VERY DRY FUELS...WILL CAUSE CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER
CONDITIONS SATURDAY.

ON FRIDAY....SOUTH TO SOUTHWEST WINDS FROM 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS
TO 45 MPH ARE EXPECTED FROM THE WESTERN MOGOLLON RIM NORTH TO THE
UTAH BORDER WHERE A WIND ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT. AREAS OF BLOWING
DUST MAY AFFECT NORTHEASTERN ARIZONA. DRY CONDITIONS WILL COMBINE
WITH GUSTY WINDS TO PRODUCE CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS
ACROSS NORTHEAST ARIZONA...AND A RED FLAG WARNING IS IN EFFECT.

FRIDAY NIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY...A STRONG LATE SEASON COLD FRONT
WILL MOVE THROUGH NORTHERN ARIZONA. VERY STRONG SOUTHWEST WINDS
ARE EXPECTED WITH THE FRONT. WIDESPREAD RAIN AND SNOW ARE FORECAST
WITH THUNDERSTORMS ALSO POSSIBLE. SNOW LEVELS SHOULD FALL TO
AROUND 5500 FEET LATE SATURDAY MORNING IN COCONINO AND YAVAPAI
COUNTIES. SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 2 TO 5 INCHES ARE FORECAST ABOVE
6000 FEET WITH HIGHER AMOUNTS ABOVE 8000 FEET. SURFACE
TEMPERATURES SHOULD BE WARM ENOUGH TO ALLOW FOR MELTING OF SNOW
SATURDAY AFTERNOON...LEADING TO VARIABILITY IN SNOW ACCUMULATIONS.
RAIN AND SNOW SHOWERS TO CONTINUE SATURDAY EVENING...THEN TAPERING
OFF OVERNIGHT.
