HEAT INDEX VALUES WILL BE NEAR OR EXCEED 100 DEGREES ACROSS
PORTIONS OF THE SOUTHERN PIEDMONT... THE SOUTHERN COASTAL
PLAIN... AND SANDHILLS THIS AFTERNOON. IF YOU HAVE OUTDOOR
PLANS...BE SURE TO DRINK PLENTY OF WATER TO STAY HYDRATED...WEAR
LIGHT WEIGHT AND LOOSE FITTING CLOTHING...AND TAKE FREQUENT BREAKS
IN SHADED OR AIR CONDITIONED AREAS.

ALSO...ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE LATE THIS AFTERNOON
THROUGH EARLY EVENING. THE STORMS MAY PRODUCE AN EXCESSIVE AMOUNT
