OVER 35 KNOTS NEAR PORT BAY...MOVING NORTHEAST AT 15 KNOTS.

...THE FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1100 PM EDT FOR URBAN
AREAS AND SMALL STREAMS IN CENTRAL WAYNE COUNTY...

AT 832 PM EDT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR CONTINUED TO
SHOW SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS OVER WAYNE COUNTY...SOME OF WHICH ARE
PRODUCING RAIN AT A RATE GREATER THAN ONE HALF INCH PER HOUR.

SINCE 7 PM...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS HAVE PRODUCED 2 TO 3 AND A HALF
INCHES OF RAIN OVER PARTS OF WAYNE COUNTY. DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATES
THAT THE HEAVIEST RAINS HAVE FALLEN NEAR WILLIAMSON IN THE RED AND
SALMON CREEK BASINS...WITH EVEN MORE SIGNIFICANT RAINS FROM NEWARK
TO LYONS...INCLUDING MUD CREEK.

A FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR HAS BEEN REPORTED.
STREAM RISES WILL BE SLOW AND FLASH FLOODING IS NOT EXPECTED.
HOWEVER...ALL INTERESTED PARTIES SHOULD TAKE NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS
IMMEDIATELY.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...HIGHWAYS AND UNDERPASSES. ADDITIONALLY...COUNTRY
ROADS AND FARMLANDS ALONG THE BANKS OF CREEKS...STREAMS AND OTHER LOW
LYING AREAS ARE SUBJECT TO FLOODING.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODING. IF FLOODING IS OBSERVED ACT QUICKLY. MOVE UP TO
HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO
FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
