EFFECT SNOW ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 9 PM THIS EVENING
TO NOON EST FRIDAY.

* LOCATIONS...AREAS ALONG AND NORTH OF THRUWAY IN ONONDAGA...
  ONEIDA... AND MADISON COUNTY.

* ACCUMULATIONS...3 TO 6 INCHES OF SNOW IN THE MOST PERSISTENT SNOW
  BANDS.

* TIMING...TONIGHT THROUGH TOMORROW MORNING.

* TEMPERATURES...IN THE MID 20S.

* WINDS...WEST 10 TO 15 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 20 MPH.

* IMPACTS...LOCALIZED LAKE EFFECT SNOW WILL RESULT IN SLIPPERY
  ROADS AND POOR VISIBILITY AT TIMES.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A LAKE EFFECT SNOW ADVISORY MEANS LAKE EFFECT SNOW IS FORECAST
THAT WILL MAKE TRAVEL DIFFICULT IN SOME AREAS. LAKE EFFECT SNOW
SHOWERS TYPICALLY ALIGN THEMSELVES IN BANDS AND WILL LIKELY BE
INTENSE ENOUGH TO DROP SEVERAL INCHES IN LOCALIZED AREAS. USE
CAUTION WHEN TRAVELING.
