THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF WESTERN NEW YORK.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

NO HAZARDOUS WEATHER IS EXPECTED.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY.

NOTABLY COLDER AIR WILL CHARGE ACROSS THE LOWER GREAT LAKES LATE
FRIDAY NIGHT AND SATURDAY. THIS WILL SET THE STAGE FOR SOME
ORGANIZED LAKE EFFECT RAIN TO THE NORTHEAST OF BOTH LAKES ERIE
AND ONTARIO LATE SATURDAY NIGHT AND EARLY SUNDAY. THERE IS THE
POSSIBILITY THAT THE BUFFALO METRO AREA AND ITS IMMEDIATE SOUTHERN
SUBURBS COULD PICK UP SIGNIFICANT RAIN FROM THIS EVENT. SIMILAR
LAKE BANDS THIS EARLY IN THE SEASON HAVE A HISTORY OF BEING ABLE
TO PRODUCE 3 TO 5 INCHES OF RAIN IN UNDER 12 HOURS TIME. THE LAKE
EFFECT RAIN WILL MOST LIKELY BE ACCOMPANIED BY THUNDER AND
LIGHTNING AS WELL.
