HAMPSHIRE...MASSACHUSETTS WEST OF INTERSTATE 495 AND NORTHERN
CONNECTICUT NORTH OF INTERSTATE 84. THUNDERSTORMS DURING LATE THIS
AFTERNOON AND EVENING MAY ALSO CONTAIN VERY HEAVY DOWNPOURS
CAPABLE OF PRODUCING LOCALIZED FLASH FLOODING. REMEMBER TO NOT
DRIVE ACROSS FLOODED ROADWAYS. THESE THUNDERSTORMS WILL PRODUCE

THE STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS PLACED ALL OF EASTERN NEW YORK AND
WESTERN NEW ENGLAND IN A SLIGHT RISK FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS
TODAY INTO THIS EVENING AS A COLD FRONT MOVES ACROSS THE REGION.
SOME OF THESE STORMS WILL BECOME SEVERE...WITH THE MAIN THREAT
WILL BE FROM DAMAGING WIND GUSTS AND CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING
STRIKES. ANY STORM WILL BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING VERY HEAVY
DOWNPOURS SO THERE IS THE THREAT OF MINOR FLOODING OF LOW LYING
AND POOR DRAINAGE AREAS. THUNDERSTORMS WILL TRACK TO THE EAST
SOUTHEAST AROUND 20 MPH.

THUNDERSTORMS WILL DIMINISH IN COVERAGE AND INTENSITY THIS EVENING
AS THE COLD FRONT SLIDES SOUTH OF THE REGION.
