Heavy Rain and Flood Event Mar. 17-19, 2008

Heavy flooding rains fell across Eastern Oklahoma and Northwest Arkansas from March 17th through March 19th as a slow moving upper level storm system interacted with copious amounts of Pacific and Gulf moisture. 4 to 8 inch rainfall totals were common across Southeast Oklahoma and Northwest Arkansas with lesser amounts across Northeast Oklahoma. This heavy rain caused flash flooding as well as river flooding across the area.
