June 6, 2006 City of Tulsa Downburst Damage

Between 530 am and 615 am on June 6, 2006, a severe thunderstorm moved through the city of Tulsa. This severe thunderstorm produced downburst winds of approximately 80 mph. There was extensive damage to portions of the midtown area of Tulsa with numerous homes damaged. Trees and power lines were also snapped or uprooted.
