Hurricane Winds Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Scale Beaufort Wind Scale  Legend (Click for Impacts) None Wind sustained 0-19 mph. Slight Wind sustained 20-25 mph and/or gusts 25-44 mph. Moderate Wind sustained 25-39 mph and/or gusts 45 to 64 mph. High Wind sustained 40-73 mph and/or gusts 65 to 94 mph. Extreme Winds sustained ≥74 mph and/or gusts ≥95 mph.
