The average monthly temperature for January recorded at the Tallahassee Regional Airport was 59.6 degrees, or 8.4 degrees above normal. This places January 2013 as the 6th warmest January on record for Tallahassee. The highest temperature recorded during the month was 81 degrees on the 14th. The lowest temperature was 29 degrees on the 23rd and was the only day with a temperature at or below the freezing mark. This was 10 fewer days at or below freezing than what we normally experience in January. The low of 63 degrees on the 9th tied the record high minimum temperature for that day and the low of 65 degrees on the 16th broke the previous record high minimum of 61 degrees for that day.
