Each graph shows the departures from normal for that Climate Division. Time period runs from July of the La Niņa onset year (e.g., 1998) through December of the succeeding year (e.g., 1999). Units are inches of water equivalent.
The graphs were produced by averaging the data for the last ten La Niņa events. A three-point running smoother was applied to the data after averaging. Note that all the graphs have been drawn to the same scale for ease in comparison.
