(Oct. 2, 2009) – During his address to the Arkansas Department of Emergency Managers conference last month, Bill Proenza, regional director of the National Weather Service Southern Region, emphasized the importance of National Weather Service products and services. He noted these products and services are always available to emergency managers on a 24/7 basis for all hazard decision support.
After the address, Proenza travelled to the National Weather Service forecast office in Little Rock to present Director's Awards to Electronics Technicians Alan Adkins and Gary Heifner. They were recognized for outstanding Service Improvements and support to customers during several severe weather events.
