Cap Cloud. A lenticular cloud that is formed when warm, moist air runs into the surface a mountain. The mountain's topography forces the air upward, which cools and condenses the air, turning it into a cloud. Wind flows through the cloud, ascending on the windward side and descending on the lee side.
