Cirrocumulus. Layered cloud composed mainly of water droplets showing small cumuliform lumpiness. Cirrocumulus are usually seen in the winter and indicate fair, but cold, weather. In the tropics, they may indicate an approaching hurricane. However, these clouds can form in many different situations and therefore should not be used as a reliable indicator of what type of weather you can expect.
