A VIGOROUS MID TO UPPER LEVEL TROUGH RESPONSIBLE FOR THE EXTREMELY UNSTABLE ATMOSPHERIC CONDITIONS OF PAST COUPLE OF DAYS WILL CNTINUE TO WEAKEN DURING THE COMING WEEK. THE TROUGH RESULTED IN WIDESPREAD FLOODING AND VERY HEAVY RAINFALL ACROSS SECTIONS OF PUERTO RICO THURSDAY AND FRIDAY.

THE FOLLOWING ARE A FEW PRELIMINARY MAXIMUM RAINFALL TOTALS FOR PUERTO RICO COVERING THE PERIOD FROM 3 AM THURSDAY MORNING TO 8 PM FRIDAY NIGHT (ROUNDED TO THE NEAREST INCH).
