Arp Texas Tornado: 450 PM CST February 5,2008

The National Weather Service Office in Shreveport, LA conducted a survey in and around the Arp Texas on Wednesday February 6. The result of the damage survey show that an EF1 tornado with winds of 90-100 mph touched down 1 mile northeast of Arp and travelled along a path approximately 100 yards wide and 1 mile long.
The National Weather Service in Shreveport did issue a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Smith County at 4:15 PM CST valid until 5:15 PM CST for this storm. And the area was under a tornado watch.
Several trees were uprooted and/or snapped at a farm house and a large 100x60 bard was completely destroyed. See the map below for a more detailed view of the storm.
