Damage in McCurtain county: Numerous trees and limbs were snapped or pushed over while several large corporate and private corn fields were ripped up. The only structure in the path of this tornado was located next to Highway 259 bridge which crosses the Red River into Bowie county. Damage in Bowie county: Numerous trees and limbs were snapped or pushed over the entire track. Several homes, mobile homes, barns, garages, and outbuildings were either damaged or destroyed. The primary damage southeast of Maud, TX was not associated with this tornado but with a microburst with wind speeds approaching 100 miles per hour. Tornado rating: F2
