The National Weather Service Office in Shreveport is honored to have three John Campanius Holm Award recipients for 2005. No more than 25 of these prestigious awards are given out annually across the entire country. This award was created in 1959 as a way for the National Weather Service to honor cooperative weather observers for outstanding accomplishments in the field of meteorological observations. Billy Andrews from Shreveport, Jay Bunyard from De Queen, AR, and William W. Ward from Dierks, AR, join another 16 John Campanius Holm Award winners in the four state region.
