THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR SOUTHEAST SOUTH CAROLINA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS...PERIODS OF RAIN WITH THUNDERSTORMS WILL
IMPACT ALL OF SOUTHEAST SOUTH CAROLINA AND SOUTHEAST GEORGIA TODAY
AS A WARM FRONT LIFTS NORTH THROUGH THE REGION. THERE IS A RISK
FOR A FEW OF THESE THUNDERSTORMS TO BECOME SEVERE AND PRODUCE
DAMAGING WINDS OR PERHAPS AN ISOLATED TORNADO. ANOTHER ROUND OF
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT THE AREA THIS EVENING AS THEY
MOVE RAPIDLY EAST ACROSS THE REGION. THIS AREA OF THUNDERSTORMS
WILL ALSO HAVE THE POTENTIAL FOR DAMAGING WINDS AND ISOLATED
TORNADOES ACROSS MUCH OF THE AREA.

PEOPLE ACROSS SOUTHEAST SOUTH CAROLINA AND SOUTHEAST GEORGIA
SHOULD REMAIN ALERT FOR CHANGING WEATHER CONDITIONS THROUGHOUT THE
DAY AND BE PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION SHOULD WATCHES OR WARNINGS BE
ISSUED FOR THE AREA.

HEAVY RAIN...PERIODS OF RAIN WITH THUNDERSTORMS WILL PRODUCE
OCCASIONAL HEAVY RAINFALL. STORM TOTAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 2 TO
4 INCHES...WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS...CAN BE EXPECTED THROUGH
MONDAY. THIS RAIN COULD PRODUCE AREAS OF FLOODING...MAINLY IN LOW
LYING AND POOR DRAINAGE AREAS. HOWEVER...SHOULD THE HEAVY RAIN
OCCUR AROUND THE TIMES OF HIGH TIDE...THE RISK FOR FLASH FLOODING
WILL INCREASE...ESPECIALLY IN THE CHARLESTON...BEAUFORT AND
SAVANNAH METRO AREAS.

DENSE FOG...AREAS OF FOG ARE POSSIBLE TONIGHT. THE FOG COULD
BECOME DENSE AT TIMES. A DENSE FOG ADVISORY MAY BE NEEDED.

  WILD DUNES...ISLE OF PALMS...SULLIVANS ISLAND...FOLLY BEACH...
  KIAWAH ISLAND...EDISTO BEACH...HUNTING ISLAND...FRIPP ISLAND...
  HILTON HEAD ISLAND AND DAUFUSKIE ISLAND.

* BREAKING WAVE HEIGHTS...5 TO 7 FEET.

* IMPACTS...LARGE BREAKING WAVES WILL BE DANGEROUS TO ANYONE WHO
  ENTERS THE SURF. THERE WILL ALSO BE DANGEROUS RIP CURRENTS AND
  POSSIBLE BEACH EROSION.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

EVERYONE SHOULD REMAIN OUT OF THE WATER. MARINERS SHOULD USE
EXTREME CAUTION...ESPECIALLY NEAR INLETS...CUTS AND BAYS. SWELLS
APPROACHING THESE AREAS CAN LEAD TO LARGE...DANGEROUS BREAKING
WAVES. KEEP A CLEAR DISTANCE AWAY FROM THE OCEAN. STRUCTURES SUCH
AS PIERS AND JETTIES WILL BE PARTICULARLY TREACHEROUS.
