THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF NORTH AND CENTRAL GEORGIA.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT...

SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS EXPECTED THIS AFTERNOON AND
TONIGHT...MORE LIKELY IN THE NORTHEAST.

DISCUSSION...
MOISTURE INCREASING ACROSS THE STATE WITH SCATTERED SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS DEVELOPING THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING. INSTABILITY
WILL INCREASE SOME THIS AFTERNOON BUT NOT ENOUGH TO EXPECT ANY
SEVERE WEATHER. THE BIGGEST THREAT WITH ANY THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE
PERIODS OF HEAVY RAIN...GUSTY WINDS...AND FREQUENT CLOUD TO GROUND
LIGHTNING. SOME TRAINING OF THUNDERSTORMS COULD PRODUCE LOCALLY
HEAVY RAIN ESPECIALLY IN THE NORTHEAST THIS EVENING INTO TONIGHT.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY...

THE INCREASED MOISTURE WILL CONTINUE ACROSS THE REGION THROUGH THE
MIDDLE OF NEXT WEEK. THIS WILL RESULT IN SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS THROUGH WEDNESDAY OF NEXT WEEK. SOME OF THESE STORMS
COULD BE STRONG DURING THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING...PRODUCING HEAVY
RAIN...LIGHTNING AND GUSTY WINDS. THE MAIN CONCERN WILL BE THE
POTENTIAL FOR HEAVY RAINFALL AND MINOR FLOODING ESPECIALLY OVER
THE WEEKEND. THIS WILL CONTINUE TO BE MONITORED.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
SPOTTER ACTIVATION IS NOT REQUESTED BUT SPOTTERS ARE ENCOURAGED
TO SUBMIT REPORTS OF SEVERE WEATHER THROUGH THE WEB BY GOING TO
WEATHER.GOV/ATLANTA.
