* WINDS...WEST-TO-SOUTHWEST 35 TO 45 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 60 MPH.

* IMPACTS...MAINLY TO TRANSPORTATION. THERE WILL BE A BLOW OVER
  RISK FOR HIGH PROFILE AND LIGHTWEIGHT VEHICLES TRAVELING IN
  NORTHERN CARBON COUNTY. IN ADDITION...LIGHT SNOW SHOWERS COULD
  COMBINE WITH HIGH WINDS TO PRODUCE LOCALLY REDUCED
  VISIBILITIES UNDER ONE QUARTER OF A MILE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A HIGH WIND WARNING MEANS A HAZARDOUS HIGH WIND EVENT IS EXPECTED
OR OCCURRING. SUSTAINED WIND SPEEDS OF AT LEAST 40 MPH OR GUSTS
OF 58 MPH OR MORE CAN LEAD TO PROPERTY DAMAGE. FOR DETAILED ROAD

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF EAST CENTRAL
WYOMING...SOUTH CENTRAL WYOMING AND SOUTHEAST WYOMING.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

VERY ACTIVE WEATHER WILL CONTINUE ACROSS SOUTHEAST WYOMING TODAY
WITH WIDESPREAD WIND AND SNOW ALONG AND WEST OF THE LARAMIE RANGE
OVER THE NEXT 24 TO 48 HOURS. HIGH WINDS WITH GUSTS IN EXCESS OF
65 MPH WILL POSE A RISK TO LIGHT WEIGHT AND HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES
IN THE TYPICAL WIND PRONE AREAS THROUGH LATE THIS EVENING. HIGH
WIND WARNINGS ARE IN EFFECT. LOOK FOR LIGHT TO MODERATE SNOW TO
COMBINE WITH THE WINDS THIS AFTERNOON...GIVING WAY TO VERY LOW
VISIBILITIES AND NEAR WHITEOUT CONDITIONS. MOUNTAIN SNOWS WILL
PERSIST AS WELL...WITH UPWARDS OF 3 FEET EXPECTED IN THE SNOWIES
AND SIERRA MADRES THROUGH TUESDAY. WINTER STORM WARNINGS AND
ADVISORIES ARE IN EFFECT.

TRAVEL WILL LIKELY BECOME EXTREMELY HAZARDOUS THIS AFTERNOON AND
EVENING WITH LOW VISIBILITY AND SLICK OR SNOW COVERED ROADS. THIS
WILL BE ESPECIALLY TRUE FOR INTERSTATE 80 BETWEEN LARAMIE AND
RAWLINS WHERE WINDS WILL BE THE STRONGEST WITH FRESH SNOW. SOME
LESS TRAVELED ROADS COULD ALSO BECOME IMPASSIBLE. THOSE TRAVELING
FOR THE UPCOMING HOLIDAY ARE ADVISED TO RECONSIDER TRAVEL PLANS
AND CHECK ROAD CONDITIONS PRIOR TO DEPARTING. REMEMBER TO CARRY A
WINTER SURVIVAL KIT IN YOUR VEHICLE AT ALL TIMES. TRAVEL IS ALSO
HIGHLY DISCOURAGED FOR LIGHT WEIGHT AND HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES DUE
TO DANGEROUS CROSSWINDS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY

A STORM SYSTEM WILL IMPACT THE AREA FROM CHRISTMAS DAY THROUGH
FRIDAY. WIDESPREAD ACCUMULATING SNOWFALL WILL BE POSSIBLE...BUT
AMOUNTS ARE STILL UNCERTAIN AT THIS TIME.
