TEXAS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH IS NOW IN EFFECT FOR ALL OF DEEP SOUTH TEXAS
FROM 3 PM THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH TONIGHT.

SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS EXPECTED TO MOVE INTO THE AREA LATER
TODAY AND TONIGHT ALONG OR AHEAD OF A LINE OF CONVECTION MOVING
SOUTH THROUGH TEXAS TODAY. ALONG WITH HEAVY RAINFALL...AN ISOLATED
STRONG TO SEVERE STORM OR TWO WILL BE POSSIBLE...WITH DAMAGING
WINDS AND SMALL HAIL WILL BE THE MAIN THREATS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY

THIS AFTERNOON INTO SUNDAY MORNING...

.THE COMBINATION A WEAK COLD FRONT MOVING SOUTH AND ABUNDANT
MOISTURE ACROSS CENTRAL AND SOUTH TEXAS...WILL PROVIDE THE
POTENTIAL FOR SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS TO DEVELOP ACROSS
NORTHEAST MEXICO INTO SOUTH TEXAS THIS AFTERNOON AND MOVE INTO
DEEP SOUTH TEXAS LATER THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT. SOME OF THESE
STORMS WILL PRODUCE HEAVY RAINFALL AS THEY MOVE ACROSS THE
NORTHERN RANCHLANDS AND THE MIDDLE TO UPPER PORTIONS OF THE RIO
GRANDE VALLEY LATER THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT. WITH THE GROUND
REMAINING NEARLY SATURATED ACROSS MOST OF DEEP SOUTH TEXAS FROM
THE RAINFALL OF THE PAST COUPLE OF WEEKS...THE POTENTIAL FOR FLASH
FLOODING EXISTS WITH HEAVY RAINFALL. AN ADDITIONAL 1 TO 3 INCHES
OF RAINFALL...ON AVERAGE...IS EXPECTED ACROSS DEEP SOUTH TEXAS
LATE SATURDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH EARLY SUNDAY MORNING...WITH
HIGHER AMOUNTS POSSIBLE.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BROWNSVILLE HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WATCH FOR A PORTION OF DEEP SOUTH TEXAS...
  INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING AREAS...BROOKS...COASTAL CAMERON...
  COASTAL WILLACY...HIDALGO...INLAND CAMERON...INLAND WILLACY...
  JIM HOGG...KENEDY...STARR AND ZAPATA.

* FROM 3 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING

* SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP LATER THIS
  AFTERNOON INTO EARLY SUNDAY MORNING AND MOVE ACROSS AREAS THAT
  HAVE RECEIVED EXCESSIVE RAINFALL OVER THE PAST COUPLE OF WEEKS.
  RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 3 INCHES CAN BE EXPECTED WITH HIGHER
  AMOUNTS POSSIBLE. THIS WILL RESULT IN RAPID RUNOFF AND
  INUNDATION OF ALREADY FLOODED REGIONS.

* DUE TO THE VERY MOIST CONDITIONS OF THE GROUNDS AND SOILS IN
  THE AREA...RAPID FLASH FLOODING WILL BE POSSIBLE WHERE HEAVY
  RAINS DEVELOP.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT FLOODING IS POSSIBLE DURING THE NEXT
24 TO 36 HOURS. RESIDENTS LIVING IN FLOOD PRONE AREAS SHOULD TAKE
ACTION TO PROTECT PROPERTY.
