.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT FOR THE COUNTIES OF KLEBERG...
NUECES...AND SAN PATRICIO UNTIL 400 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON.

SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TODAY OVER SOUTH TEXAS.
ISOLATED TO SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS ARE ANTICIPATED TONIGHT
MAINLY NEAR THE COAST AND OFFSHORE.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY

SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE WEDNESDAY. A FEW STORMS
MAY PRODUCE LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL.

AN INCREASE IN LONG PERIOD SWELL MAY OCCUR DURING THE SECOND HALF OF
THE WEEK ALONG GULF FACING BEACHES. THIS INCREASE IN LONG PERIOD
SWELL MAY LEAD TO A HIGH RISK OF RIP CURRENTS AT AREA BEACHES.

OF AN INCH. HOWEVER...BRIEF PERIODS OF LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL MAY
BE POSSIBLE ALONG WITH A POTENTIAL THUNDERSTORM OR TWO.

...MINOR TIDAL OVERFLOW EXPECTED TO CONTINUE ALONG THE SOUTHERN
   COASTAL COUNTIES OF SOUTH TEXAS TODAY...

.THE COMBINATION OF GREATER SWELL AND EAST TO NORTHEAST FLOW HAS
RESULTED IN RECENT TIDE LEVELS AROUND 2 FEET MEAN SEA LEVEL OVER
PORTIONS OF THE ADVISORY AREA. THIS CONDITION MAY CONTINUE
THROUGH MID AFTERNOON TODAY. THESE TIDE LEVELS ARE EXPECTED TO
CAUSE MINOR TIDAL OVERFLOW ALONG THE SOUTHERN COASTAL COUNTIES OF
SOUTH TEXAS.

  SEA LEVEL AROUND THE TIME OF HIGH TIDE.

* TIMING...THE NEXT HIGH TIDE AT PORT ARANSAS WILL OCCUR AROUND
  1231 PM.

* IMPACTS...AT 2 FEET ABOVE MEAN SEA LEVEL...SEVERAL BEACH
  ACCESS ROADS BECOME FLOODED. MINOR FLOODING ALONG AREA BEACHES
  MAY OCCUR. STEADY PERIODS OF WATER AT THE DUNES MAY OCCUR.
  WATER MAY FLOOD PORTIONS OF LAGUNA SHORES DRIVE IN FLOUR
  BLUFF. NORTH BEACH MAY EXPERIENCE MINOR FLOODING.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY INDICATES THAT ONSHORE WINDS AND TIDES
WILL COMBINE TO GENERATE FLOODING OF LOW AREAS ALONG THE SHORE.
