.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

SCATTERED TO AT TIMES NUMEROUS SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS TODAY
AND TONIGHT. LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL BETWEEN 2 AND 5 INCHES WILL
BE POSSIBLE.

ISOLATED WATERSPOUTS AND TROPICAL FUNNEL CLOUDS WILL BE
POSSIBLE AS WELL...ESPECIALLY DURING THE MORNING HOURS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY

SCATTERED TO AT TIMES NUMEROUS SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE
EXPECTED WEDNESDAY THROUGH SATURDAY AS DEEP TROPICAL MOISTURE
PERSISTS ACROSS THE REGION. LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL BETWEEN 2 AND
5 INCHES WILL BE POSSIBLE THE REMAINDER OF THE WEEK. ISOLATED
WATERSPOUTS AND TROPICAL FUNNEL CLOUDS WILL BE POSSIBLE AS

TO AFFECT PORTIONS OF SOUTH TEXAS AND THE MIDDLE TEXAS COASTAL
WATERS. AN ISOLATED THUNDERSTORM IS ALSO POSSIBLE. MODERATE TO
OCCASIONALLY HEAVY RAINFALL CAN BE EXPECTED ALONG WITH AN
OCCASIONAL LIGHTNING STRIKE OR TWO. STORM ACTIVITY IS EXPECTED TO
INCREASE IN COVERAGE AND INTENSITY THROUGH THE MORNING. RAINFALL
AMOUNTS OVER LAND WILL AVERAGE UP TO ONE QUARTER...WITH ISOLATED
AMOUNTS REACHING ONE HALF TO ONE INCH.

...ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAINFALL IS EXPECTED THIS WEEK...

A TROPICAL WAVE WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE INLAND ACROSS SOUTH TEXAS
TODAY. DEEP TROPICAL MOISTURE WILL ACCOMPANY THIS TROPICAL WAVE
AND REMAIN IN PLACE FOR MUCH OF THE WEEK.

AS A RESULT...LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN WILL BE POSSIBLE FOR SOUTH TEXAS
FROM TONIGHT THROUGH AT LEAST THURSDAY. TOTAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS
DURING THIS TIME PERIOD WILL AVERAGE AROUND ONE-HALF TO ONE AND
ONE-HALF INCHES ACROSS MOST OF THE AREA. ISOLATED AMOUNTS BETWEEN
3 AND 6 INCHES WILL BE POSSIBLE.

DUE TO THE HEAVY RAIN...LOCALIZED FLOODING OF ROADS AND OTHER LOW
SPOTS WILL BE POSSIBLE ACROSS PORTIONS OF SOUTH TEXAS. RESIDENTS
SHOULD EXERCISE APPROPRIATE ACTION IF FLOODING IS OBSERVED OR IF A
WARNING IS ISSUED.
