NORTHEAST TEXAS.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT...
SCATTERED TO NUMEROUS SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO
OVERSPREAD THE REGION THIS AFTERNOON BEFORE TAPERING OFF FROM
NORTHWEST TO SOUTHEAST LATE THIS EVENING. ANY STORMS TODAY WILL
HAVE THE CAPABILITY TO PRODUCE STRONG AND DAMAGING WIND GUSTS...
LARGE HAIL AND VERY HEAVY RAINFALL.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY...

SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE ACROSS
PORTIONS OF DEEP EAST TEXAS INTO EAST CENTRAL AND NORTHEAST
LOUISIANA ON SUNDAY BUT ISOLATED ACTIVITY CANNOT BE RULED OUT
ANYWHERE ACROSS THE FOUR STATE REGION. A DRYING TREND SHOULD
COMMENCE ACROSS MOST OF THE REGION NEXT WEEK WITH ONLY VERY
ISOLATED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS EXPECTED MONDAY THROUGH
FRIDAY.

SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE THROUGH 6 PM FOR
SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA...NORTHEAST TEXAS...AND DEEP EAST TEXAS.
CONVECTION WILL MOVE INTO BROKEN BOW AND HOCHATOWN IN SOUTHEAST
OKLAHOMA. IN TEXAS...THESE STORMS ARE NEAR MOUNT VERNON...MOUNT
PLEASANT...LINDEN AND ATLANTA. IN DEEP EAST TEXAS SHOWERS WILL
AFFECT THE COMMUNITIES OF YANTIS AND GILMER.  THESE STORMS ARE
MOVING AT 45 MPH TO THE NORTHEAST. RAINFALL AMOUNTS WILL RANGE FROM
AN TENTH TO A QUARTER OF AN INCH. REMEMBER IF YOU SEE A FLOODED

  NORTHWEST LOUISIANA...BOSSIER AND CADDO. IN SOUTHEAST

  WIDESPREAD FLOODING IS NOT ANTICIPATED THROUGH THIS EVENING
  ACROSS THE AREA...ANY STORMS THAT DEVELOP COULD PRODUCE
  ADDITIONAL LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL AMOUNTS WHICH COULD LEAD
  TO SOME FLASH FLOODING.

* LOW LYING AND POOR DRAINAGE AREAS...ESPECIALLY IN THE VICINITY
  OF RAPIDLY RISING BAYOUS...CREEKS AND STREAMS...WILL BE MOST
  PRONE TO FLASH FLOODING IF ANY HEAVY RAINFALL DEVELOPS
  THROUGH 7 PM THIS EVENING.

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS MAY DEVELOP THAT LEAD
TO FLASH FLOODING. FLASH FLOODING IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

  the Sulphur River Near Naples, Texas.
* until Friday morning...or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 700 AM Saturday the stage was 28.5 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 22 feet.
* Forecast...The river will continue to fall to below flood stage by
  Wednesday evening.  Also the Sulphur River will crest this Saturday
  morning near 28.5 feet near Naples, Texas.

* until further notice...or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 800 AM Saturday the stage was 28.7 feet.
* Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 25 feet.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 31.1 feet by
  Thursday morning then begin falling.
* Impact...at 31.5 feet...A 24 hour flood watch will commence at the
  Index bridge on U.S. highway 71.  The bridge is in danger of being
  overtopped.

  the Red River Near Dekalb, Texas at Pecan Point.
* until further notice...or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 800 AM Saturday the stage was 34.1 feet.
* Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 24 feet.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 35.0 feet by
  Monday early afternoon then begin falling.
* Impact...at 34.5 feet...Near record flooding of some twenty thousand
  acres will continue. Severe backwater flooding of Pecan and Nolan
  Bayous occurs. The U.S. highway 259 bridge approaches flood.  Texas
  highway bridges 8 and 37 are flooded and closed.  Move
  livestock and equipment to higher ground.
