THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN AMARILLO HAS ISSUED A

* FLOOD ADVISORY FOR...
  SOUTHERN MOORE COUNTY IN THE PANHANDLE OF TEXAS...
  WESTERN CARSON COUNTY IN THE PANHANDLE OF TEXAS...
  POTTER COUNTY IN THE PANHANDLE OF TEXAS...
  SOUTHWESTERN HUTCHINSON COUNTY IN THE PANHANDLE OF TEXAS...

* UNTIL 545 PM CDT

* AT 248 PM CDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED HEAVY RAIN THAT WILL CAUSE
  MINOR FLOODING IN THE ADVISORY AREA. ONE TO TWO INCHES OF RAIN
  HAVE ALREADY FALLEN. THE PUBLIC HAS REPORTED THAT MINOR FLOODING
  WAS OCCURRING ON THE FRITCH HIGHWAY.

* SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
  AMARILLO...DUMAS...BORGER...PANHANDLE...FRITCH...STINNETT...
  SANFORD...MASTERSON...LAKE MEREDITH...VALLEY DE ORO...BUSHLAND...
  FOUR WAY AND PANTEX.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TURN AROUND...DON`T DROWN WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED ROADS. MOST FLOOD
DEATHS OCCUR IN VEHICLES.

PANHANDLES.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED ACROSS THE PANHANDLES TODAY AND TONIGHT.
STORMS ARE EXPECTED TO REMAIN BELOW SEVERE LEVELS. HOWEVER...THE
STRONGEST STORMS WILL BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING HEAVY RAINFALL...WHICH
MAY LEAD TO FLOODING OR FLASH FLOODING. A FLOOD WATCH GOES INTO
AFFECT AT 1 PM TODAY FOR THE EASTERN AND NORTH-CENTRAL TEXAS
PANHANDLE AS WELL AS THE EASTERN AND CENTRAL OKLAHOMA PANHANDLE.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY.

THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE ACROSS THE OKLAHOMA AND TEXAS
PANHANDLES THROUGH SATURDAY. ANY STORMS THAT DEVELOP ARE EXPECTED TO
REMAIN BELOW SEVERE LEVELS AT THIS TIME. HOWEVER...THE STRONGEST
STORMS WILL BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING HEAVY RAINFALL...WHICH MAY LEAD
TO FLOODING OR FLASH FLOODING. A FLOOD WATCH FOR THE EASTERN AND
NORTH-CENTRAL TEXAS PANHANDLE AS WELL AS THE EASTERN AND CENTRAL
OKLAHOMA PANHANDLE WILL BE IN AFFECT UNTIL 7 AM WEDNESDAY.
