* URBAN AND SMALL STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY FOR...
  SEVIER COUNTY IN EASTERN TENNESSEE...
  SOUTHWESTERN JEFFERSON COUNTY IN EASTERN TENNESSEE...
  SOUTHEASTERN KNOX COUNTY IN EASTERN TENNESSEE...
  NORTHEASTERN BLOUNT COUNTY IN EASTERN TENNESSEE...

* UNTIL 300 AM EDT

* AT 1200 AM EDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED HEAVY RAIN DUE TO
  THUNDERSTORMS. THIS RAIN WILL FALL UPON AREAS THAT RECEIVED HEAVY
  RAINFALL EARLIER...WHICH WILL RESULT IN RAPID RUNOFF. THIS WILL
  CAUSE URBAN AND SMALL STREAM FLOODING IN THE ADVISORY AREA.

* SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
  KNOXVILLE...SEVIERVILLE...ALCOA...GATLINBURG...DANDRIDGE...PIGEON
  FORGE...ROCKFORD...PITTMAN CENTER...WILDWOOD...SEYMOUR...
  FAIRGARDEN...KODAK...BIRD CROSSING...LAKE FOREST...MCMAHAN...
  HARRISBURG...BEARDEN...KIMBERLIN HEIGHTS...PIEDMONT AND GREAT SMOKY
  MOUNTAINS N.P..

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

MOST FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. NEVER DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO
AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. FLOOD WATERS ARE USUALLY
DEEPER THAN THEY APPEAR. JUST ONE FOOT OF FLOWING WATER IS POWERFUL
ENOUGH TO SWEEP VEHICLES OFF THE ROAD. WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED
ROADS MAKE THE SMART CHOICE...TURN AROUND...DONT DROWN.

VIRGINIA...AND EXTREME SOUTHWEST NORTH CAROLINA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...

A STRONG COLD FRONT...ALONG WITH ITS ASSOCIATED STRONG WIND FIELD...
WILL APPROACH THE SOUTHERN APPALACHIAN REGION TODAY...TRIGGERING
NUMEROUS STRONG TO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING.
THESE STORMS WILL HAVE THE POTENTIAL FOR WIDESPREAD DAMAGING
WINDS...VERY LARGE HAIL UP TO GOLFBALL SIZE...AND LOCALLY HEAVY
RAINFALL. IN ADDITION...AN ISOLATED TORNADO OR TWO WILL BE POSSIBLE.


.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY...

NO HAZARDOUS WEATHER IS EXPECTED AT THIS TIME.
