...ANOTHER HARD FREEZE LATE TONIGHT AND SUNDAY MORNING...

.A CANADIAN HIGH PRESSURE WILL BUILD INTO THE REGION THROUGH
SUNDAY MORNING...ALLOWING COLDER AIR TO SETTLE OVER THE TENNESSEE
VALLEY AND SOUTHERN APPALACHIANS.

CLEAR SKIES AND CALM WINDS WILL COMBINE WITH THIS COLD AIR MASS TO
PRODUCE A HARD FREEZE BY EARLY SUNDAY MORNING. SEVERAL HOURS OF AT
OR BELOW 28 DEGREES ARE LIKELY IN MOST AREAS LATE TONIGHT...WITH
TEMPERATURES DROPPING INTO THE TEENS TO UPPER 20S BY DAYBREAK

CDT/ TONIGHT TO 11 AM EDT /10 AM CDT/ SUNDAY...

* EVENT...A HARD FREEZE EXPECTED WITH LOWS FROM THE TEENS NORTH TO
  THE UPPER 20S SOUTH LATE TONIGHT AND SUNDAY MORNING.

* TIMING...TEMPERATURES FALLING AT OR BELOW 28 DEGREES BETWEEN
  MIDNIGHT TONIGHT AND MID-MORNING SUNDAY. TEMPERATURES WILL
  REMAIN BELOW 28 DEGREES FOR 2 TO 5 HOURS TONIGHT.

* IMPACTS...THE PROLONGED PERIOD OF FREEZING TEMPERATURES COULD
  KILL STRAWBERRY PLANTS AND BLOOMS OF ANY FRUIT TREES IN THE
  WARNING AREA.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A HARD FREEZE WARNING MEANS SUB-FREEZING TEMPERATURES ARE
IMMINENT OR HIGHLY LIKELY. THESE CONDITIONS WILL KILL CROPS AND

CAROLINA...EAST TENNESSEE AND SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...

A FREEZE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR ALL OF THE EASTERN
TENNESSEE VALLEY AND CUMBERLAND PLATEAU THROUGH MID-MORNING.
PLEASE SEE OUR LATEST FREEZE WARNING PRODUCT FOR MORE DETAILS.

IN ADDITION...LIGHT SNOW SHOWERS WILL TAPER OFF OVER THE COURSE OF
THE MORNING...WITH UP TO 1 INCH OF ACCUMULATION ABOVE 2500
FEET...AND UP TO 2 INCHES OF ACCUMULATION ABOVE 4000 FEET. THESE
ACCUMULATIONS ARE MOST LIKELY ALONG THE GREAT SMOKY MOUNTAINS.

ANOTHER SHOT OF EVEN COLDER AIR WILL MOVE INTO THE REGION TONIGHT
AS ANOTHER COLD FRONT CLIPS THE AREA. A HARD AND KILLING FREEZE IS
LIKELY ACROSS THE ENTIRE EASTERN TENNESSEE VALLEY AND CUMBERLAND
PLATEAU OVERNIGHT. ANY SENSITIVE PLANTS THAT ARE LEFT UNPROTECTED
WILL LIKELY DIE! A HARD FREEZE WARNING IN EFFECT FOR THESE AREAS
FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY...

SUBFREEZING TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED TO LINGER THROUGH THE MID TO
LATE MORNING HOURS ON SUNDAY MORNING. OTHERWISE...NO HAZARDOUS
WEATHER IS EXPECTED AT THIS TIME.
