...BANDS OF LIGHT SNOW AND PATCHES OF FREEZING DRIZZLE WITH LIGHT
ACCUMULATIONS POSSIBLE EARLY THIS MORNING...

A WEAK DISTURBANCE WILL SLIDE SOUTHEAST ACROSS THE AREA EARLY THIS
MORNING. THIS WILL BRING SOME BANDS OF LIGHT SNOW AND FLURRIES TO
PORTIONS OF THE NORTHERN CUMBERLAND PLATEAU...CENTRAL AND NORTHERN
TENNESSEE VALLEYS...AND SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA. IN ADDITION...PATCHES
OF FREEZING DRIZZLE CAN BE EXPECTED. THE FREEZING DRIZZLE WILL
AFFECT SOME AREAS FURTHER SOUTH SUCH AS SOUTHEAST TENNESSEE AND
EXTREME SOUTHWEST NORTH CAROLINA AS WELL. THE PRECIPITATION IS
EXPECTED TO DIMINISH BY MID MORNING.

WHILE MANY AREAS WILL HAVE NO ACCUMULATION OR JUST A DUSTING...SOME
OF THESE BANDS OF LIGHT SNOW MAY BE PERSISTENT ENOUGH FOR LIGHT
SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF LESS THAN AN INCH TO OCCUR. IN
ADDITION...SOME LIGHT ICING WILL BE POSSIBLE MAINLY ON ELEVATED
SURFACES INCLUDING BRIDGES AND OVERPASSES.

WHILE ANY SNOW AND ICE ACCUMULATIONS WILL BE LIGHT...SOME TRAVEL
HAZARDS MAY OCCUR. TRAVELERS MAY ENCOUNTER SNOW OR ICE COVERED
ROADS AND SLICK CONDITIONS...ESPECIALLY WHERE THE MORE SIGNIFICANT
ACCUMULATIONS OCCUR. CAUTION IS ADVISED...ESPECIALLY FOR BACK
ROADS...BRIDGES AND OVERPASSES.

A WEAK DISTURBANCE WILL SLIDE SOUTHEAST ACROSS THE AREA THIS
MORNING. THIS WILL BRING SOME BANDS OF LIGHT SNOW AND FLURRIES
ESPECIALLY OVER ACROSS CENTRAL AND NORTHERN PORTIONS OF EAST
TENNESSEE AND SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA. SOME LIGHT SNOW ACCUMULATIONS
WILL BE POSSIBLE...WITH THE HIGHEST AMOUNTS OVER THE HIGHER
ELEVATIONS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY...

A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL BRING RAIN AND SNOW SHOWERS TO
NORTHEAST TENNESSEE...SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA...AND HIGHER ELEVATIONS ON
THURSDAY AND FRIDAY. A POSSIBILITY OF SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF UP TO
AN INCH ARE POSSIBLE MAINLY FRIDAY MORNING. ANOTHER WAVE OF SNOW
SHOWERS IS EXPECTED SUNDAY NIGHT INTO MONDAY...MAINLY AFFECTING
HIGHER ELEVATIONS.
