THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PUERTO RICO AND THE ADJACENT
ATLANTIC COASTAL WATERS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

.THUNDERSTORMS...THERE IS A CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS WITH MODERATE
TO HEAVY RAINFALL AND BRIEF GUSTY WINDS THIS AFTERNOON ACROSS
PORTIONS OF WESTERN PUERTO RICO AS WELL AS NORTH CENTRAL AND SOME
AREAS OF THE SAN JUAN METROPOLITAN AREA...WHICH COULD PRODUCE
STRONG GUSTY WINDS AND OCCASIONAL LIGHTNING.

.FLOODING...MODERATE TO HEAVY RAIN COULD LEAD TO URBAN FLOODING.

.WIND...SUSTAINED WINDS AT AROUND 20 KNOTS EXPECTED ACROSS
THE OFFSHORE ATLANTIC AND OFFSHORE CARIBBEAN WATERS AS WELL AS THE
LOCAL PASSAGES.

.WAVES...CHOPPY SEAS UP TO 6 FEET EXPECTED ACROSS THE OFFSHORE
CARIBBEAN WATERS AND THE MONA PASSAGE.

.RIP CURRENTS...THERE IS A MODERATE RISK OF RIP CURRENTS FOR SOME
BEACHES OF NORTHERN AND SOUTHERN PR...CULEBRA AND EASTERN VIEQUES.

.HEAT...ABOVE NORMAL HEAT INDEX VALUES EXPECTED ACROSS PORTIONS OF
THE COASTAL MUNICIPALITIES OF SOUTHERN...WESTERN...AND NORTHERN
PUERTO RICO.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY

A MODERATE RISK OF RIP CURRENTS IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE FOR THE
NEXT FEW DAYS.
