THE AIR STAGNATION ADVISORY IS NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 PM PST
SATURDAY.

* SYNOPSIS: HIGH PRESSURE WILL CONTINUE OVER THE REGION THROUGH AT
  LEAST SATURDAY MORNING CONTINUING LOW LEVEL INVERSIONS AND
  GENERALLY STAGNANT AIR. THE HIGH WILL WEAKEN SLIGHTLY INTO
  WEDNESDAY RESULTING IN SOME IMPROVEMENT IN VERTICAL MIXING...BUT
  NOT ENOUGH TO COMPLETELY MIX OUT THE STAGNANT AIR IN THE WEST
  SIDE VALLEYS. THE INVERSION IS EXPECTED TO STRENGTHEN AGAIN
  WEDNESDAY NIGHT INTO THE WEEKEND BEFORE DISSIPATING EARLY NEXT
  WEEK.

* LOCATIONS INCLUDE: GRANTS PASS...CAVE JUNCTION...MEDFORD...
  ASHLAND...DRAIN...ELKTON...ROSEBURG...SUTHERLIN...GREEN...
  MYRTLE CREEK...CANYONVILLE.

* IMPACTS: AIR QUALITY WILL DETERIORATE IF SIGNIFICANT POLLUTION
  PARTICULATES ACCUMULATE. THESE PARTICULATES COULD MAKE BREATHING
  MORE DIFFICULT FOR THOSE WITH RESPIRATORY AILMENTS.
