ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM WEDNESDAY TO 9 PM PDT
FRIDAY.



* TIMING: WEDNESDAY THROUGH AT LEAST FRIDAY.

* UNCERTAINTY: 90F TEMPERATURES MAY PERSIST INTO THE WEEKEND...WITH
  THE HOTTEST TEMPERATURES LIKELY IN THE CENTRAL COLUMBIA RIVER
  GORGE AND SOUTHERN WILLAMETTE VALLEY.

* HIGH TEMPERATURES: 95F TO 100F.

* LOW TEMPERATURES: 55F TO 65F.

* LOCATIONS INCLUDE: VANCOUVER...BATTLE GROUND...WASHOUGAL...
  EUGENE...SPRINGFIELD...CORVALLIS...ALBANY...VERNONIA...

EVENING. KNOW THE SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF HEAT EXHAUSTION AND HEAT
STROKE. WEAR LIGHT WEIGHT AND LOOSE FITTING CLOTHING WHEN
POSSIBLE AND DRINK PLENTY OF WATER.

TO REDUCE RISK DURING OUTDOOR WORK THE OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND
HEALTH ADMINISTRATION RECOMMENDS SCHEDULING FREQUENT REST BREAKS
IN SHADED OR AIR CONDITIONED ENVIRONMENTS. ANYONE OVERCOME BY
HEAT SHOULD BE MOVED TO A COOL AND SHADED LOCATION. HEAT STROKE
IS AN EMERGENCY...CALL 9 1 1.
