THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF EAST CENTRAL
NEVADA...NORTH CENTRAL NEVADA...NORTHEAST NEVADA AND SOUTH
CENTRAL NEVADA.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.

NO SIGNIFICANT WEATHER IS EXPECTED AT THIS TIME.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY.

AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE WILL RAPIDLY DEVELOP OVER EASTERN NEVADA
ON FRIDAY...ALLOWING RAINFALL TO BREAK OUT ACROSS THE REGION. BY
FRIDAY EVENING COLDER AIR WILL BEGIN TO WORK IN ON THE BACKSIDE OF
THE SYSTEM...ALLOWING THE RAIN TO CHANGE OVER TO SNOW. THIS STORM
WILL BE VERY ELEVATION DEPENDENT WITH NO IMPACTS EXPECTED BELOW
5500 FEET ELEVATIONS. ABOVE 5500 FEET SNOWFALL IS EXPECTED TO
ACCUMULATE DURING THE OVERNIGHT HOURS AND INTO SATURDAY MORNING.
THE LARGEST IMPACTS FROM THE SNOWFALL ARE EXPECTED ACROSS CENTRAL
NEVADA FROM AUSTIN TO ELY...ESPECIALLY ABOVE 6000 FEET ELEVATIONS.
SNOWFALL WILL END FROM THE NORTHWEST TO SOUTHEAST...WITH IMPACTS
EXPECTED TO DIMINSH BY SATURDAY MORNING...AS TEMPERATURES INCREASE
ABOVE FREEZING.

SATURDAY...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ELKO HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM
WARNING FOR HEAVY SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM
5 PM FRIDAY TO 11 AM PDT SATURDAY. THE WINTER STORM WATCH IS NO
LONGER IN EFFECT.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...4 TO 8 INCHES IN THE VALLEYS WITH 10 TO 18
  IN THE MOUNTAINS.

* TIMING...RAIN WILL QUICKLY CHANGE OVER TO SNOW FRIDAY EVENING
  WITH THE HEAVIEST SNOW EXPECTED TO FALL FRIDAY NIGHT INTO EARLY
  SATURDAY MORNING.

* LOCATIONS INCLUDE: ELY...MCGILL...CONNORS PASS...GREAT BASIN
  NATIONAL PARK...AUSTIN...AUSTIN SUMMIT... EUREKA...DIAMOND
