THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF NORTH AND CENTRAL
NEW MEXICO.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

A DISTURBANCE LIFTING NORTHWARD OUT OF THE GULF OF CALIFORNIA WILL
BEGIN TO STEER A SURGE OF MONSOON MOISTURE OVER NEW MEXICO TODAY.
A FEW THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING LOCALLY HEAVY
RAIN AT RATES NEAR 1 INCH PER HOUR. THE POTENTIAL EXISTS FOR
HAZARDOUS RUNOFF ACROSS WESTERN AREAS...ESPECIALLY BELOW RECENT
BURN SCARS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY

THE MONSOON MOISTURE SURGE WILL PRODUCE SCATTERED TO NUMEROUS
THUNDERSTORMS WITH LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN ACROSS WESTERN AREAS
FRIDAY...THEN ALSO ACROSS CENTRAL AND NORTHERN AREAS FRIDAY NIGHT.
AREAS OF HAZARDOUS RUNOFF WILL BE POSSIBLE WITH THE POTENTIAL
FOR FLASH FLOODING BELOW RECENT BURN SCARS. THE CHANCE FOR LOCALLY
HEAVY RAINFALL WILL PERSIST OVER THE NORTHERN MOUNTAINS ON
SATURDAY...ESPECIALLY NEAR THE COLORADO BORDER.
