A BACKDOOR FRONT WILL COMBINE WITH A VERY MOIST AIRMASS TO
PRODUCE NUMEROUS SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS TODAY AND TONIGHT.
THE STRONGER THUNDERSTORMS WILL PRODUCE HEAVY RAIN WHICH COULD
LEAD TO FLASH FLOODING. A FLASH FLOOD WATCH IS IN EFFECT FOR MUCH
OF CENTRAL AND NORTHERN NEW MEXICO THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH LATE
TONIGHT. FAVORED AREA FOR THE HEAVIEST RAINFALL AMOUNTS TODAY AND
TONIGHT IS EXPECTED FROM THE EAST SLOPES OF THE SOUTHERN SANGRE
DE CRISTOS SOUTH THE THE EAST SLOPES OF THE SANDIA AND MANZANO
MOUNTAINS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY

PLENTIFUL LOW LEVEL MOISTURE WILL COMBINE WITH DAYTIME HEATING TO
PRODUCE DAILY ROUNDS OF AFTERNOON AND EVENING THUNDERSTORMS AND
LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL THURSDAY THROUGH THE WEEKEND AND INTO EARLY
NEXT WEEK.
