THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF NM AND TX.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

WEST WINDS WILL INCREASE TO 20 TO 25 MPH LATE THIS AFTERNOON WITH
A FEW GUSTS 30 TO 35 MPH...SLIGHTLY HIGHER ALONG EAST-FACING
SLOPES. SOME PATCHY BLOWING DUST WILL DEVELOP...MAINLY IN THE
LOWER VALLEY SOUTH OF EL PASO AND ACROSS HUDSPETH COUNTY.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY

ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE FRIDAY AND SATURDAY AS AN
UPPER LEVEL TROUGH MOVES THROUGH WHILE SOUTHEAST WINDS CARRY SOME
GULF OF MEXICO MOISTURE INTO THE AREA. THE GREATER RISK FOR
THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE EAST OF THE RIO GRANDE AND IN HIGHER
ELEVATION AREAS IN NEW MEXICO. LOCALIZED GUSTY WINDS WILL BE THE
MAIN THREAT...AS WELL AS LIGHTNING-STARTED WILD LAND FIRES.
