THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR SOUTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA AND
PORTIONS OF NORTH CENTRAL KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

FLOODING ALONG COUNTY ROADS IS ONGOING IN FILLMORE AND THAYER
COUNTIES AS WELL AS GOSPER AND HARLAN COUNTIES THIS MORNING. AS
THE PRECIPITATION ENDS, THE FLOOD WATERS ARE EXPECTED RECEDE LATER
THIS MORNING.

SCATTERED SHOWERS AND SOME THUNDER WILL EXIT FROM WEST TO EAST
THIS MORNING WITH ANOTHER CHANCE LATER THIS AFTERNOON OVER EASTERN
SECTIONS OF SOUTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA. THESE SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS ARE NOT ANTICIPATED TO BE STRONG OR SEVERE
THROUGHOUT THE DAY AND TONIGHT. HOWEVER, IF ANY PRECIPITATION
DEVELOPS AND LINGERS OVER AREAS SUCH AS FILLMORE AND THAYER
COUNTIES LATER TODAY THIS COULD AGGRAVATE SATURATED SOILS AND
FLOODING COULD AGAIN BE A PROBLEM.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY.

SUNDAY AND SUNDAY NIGHT...CHANCES FOR THUNDERSTORMS REMAIN IN THE
FORECAST ACROSS THE OUTLOOK AREA...THOUGH THERE IS PLENTY OF
UNCERTAINTY WITH THE AREAL COVERAGE OF ACTIVITY. THERE WILL BE THE
POTENTIAL FOR SOME THUNDERSTORMS TO BE STRONG...WITH SMALL HAIL AND
GUSTY WINDS.

MEMORIAL DAY AFTERNOON THROUGH THE OVERNIGHT HOURS WILL BRING THE
BEST CHANCES FOR THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS THE OUTLOOK AREA. THERE WILL
BE THE POTENTIAL FOR SOME TO BE SEVERE...MAINLY FOR LOCATIONS WEST
OF HIGHWAY 281. HAIL NEAR THE SIZE OF QUARTERS AND WIND GUSTS NEAR
60 MPH WOULD BE THE PRIMARY HAZARDS.

LINGERING THUNDERSTORM CHANCES CONTINUE INTO TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY.
AT THIS TIME...IT IS TOO EARLY TO CONFIDENTLY ASSESS THE POTENTIAL
FOR STRONG TO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN HASTINGS HAS ISSUED A

* FLOOD ADVISORY FOR...
  NORTHWESTERN HARLAN COUNTY IN SOUTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA...

* UNTIL 1115 AM CDT SATURDAY

* AT 215 AM CDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED HEAVY RAIN DUE TO
  THUNDERSTORMS MAY CAUSE MINOR FLOODING. LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT
  REPORTED THAT WATER IS IMPACTING THE WEST BOUND LANE OF HIGHWAY 89
  NEAR ROAD E. THE RAINFALL MAY CAUSE MINOR FLOODING IN THE ADVISORY
  AREA. AREA COUNTY ROADS MAY ALSO BE EFFECTED. UP TO TWO TO THREE
  INCHES OF RAIN HAVE ALREADY FALLEN.

* SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
  ALMA...OXFORD...ORLEANS AND STAMFORD.

ADDITIONAL RAINFALL OF UP TO 1 INCH IS POSSIBLE OVER THE AREA. THIS
ADDITIONAL RAIN WILL MAKE MINOR FLOODING.

THIS INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING STREAMS AND DRAINAGES...FOSTER CREEK...
COOK CREEK...SPRING CREEK...SCHOOL CREEK...ROPE CREEK...FLAG CREEK...
SAPPA CREEK...REPUBLICAN RIVER...ELM CREEK...TURKEY CREEK...HARLAN
COUNTY LAKE AREA...METHODIST CREEK...TWIN CREEK...MILROSE CREEK AND
DEEP CREEK.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TURN AROUND...DON`T DROWN WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED ROADS. MOST FLOOD
DEATHS OCCUR IN VEHICLES.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODING.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...COUNTRY ROADS...FARMLAND...AND OTHER LOW LYING
SPOTS.
