AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE AND ASSOCIATED COLD FRONT WILL MOVE
SOUTHEAST INTO THE CENTRAL PLAINS TODAY. A STRENGTHENING PRESSURE
GRADIENT WILL ALLOW GUSTY NORTH TO NORTHWEST WINDS TO DEVELOP
ACROSS EAST CENTRAL WYOMING AND THE WESTERN NEBRASKA PANHANDLE
TODAY. A WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR THE WESTERN NEBRASKA
PANHANDLE. STRONGER WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP TONIGHT AND
PERSIST THROUGH TUESDAY MORNING AS THE STORM SYSTEM STRENGTHENS.

A WIND ADVISORY MEANS THAT WINDS OF 35 MPH ARE EXPECTED. WINDS

GUSTY NORTHWEST WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO CONTINUE THIS AFTERNOON AROSS
SOUTHEAST WYOMING AND THE WESTERN NEBRASKA PANHANDLE. TRAVEL MAY
BE DIFFICULT FOR LIGHT WEIGHT AND HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES...ESPECIALLY
ALONG WEST TO EAST ORIENTED ROADS. A WIND ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT
UNTIL 5 PM MST THIS AFTERNOON.

VERY STRONG WINDS ARE POSSIBLE LATE TONIGHT THROUGH TUESDAY
MORNING FOR AREAS ALONG AND EAST OF THE LARAMIE RANGE. A HIGH WIND
WARNING IS IN EFFECT 8 PM THIS EVENING UNTIL 11 AM TUESDAY.

MODERATE SNOW...COMBINED WITH STRONG WINDS WILL CREATE NEAR
BLIZZARD CONDIRIONS ACROSS THE NORTHERN NEBRASKA PANHANDLE TONIGHT
THROUGH TUESDAY MORNING. WINTER STORM WARNINGS HAVE BEEN POSTED
FOR SIOUX...BOX BUTTE AND DAWES COUNTIES IN THE NORTHERN PANHANDLE
THROUGH TUESDAY MORNING.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY

ANOTHER STORM SYSTEM WILL IMPACT THE AREA FROM CHRISTMAS DAY
THROUGH FRIDAY. WIDESPREAD ACCUMULATING SNOWFALL WILL BE
POSSIBLE...BUT AMOUNTS ARE UNCERTAIN AT THIS TIME.

...ACCUMULATING SNOW AND STRONG WINDS FOR THE NORTHERN NEBRASKA
PANHANDLE TONIGHT...

.HEAVY MOUNTAIN SNOWS WILL CONTINUE OVER THE NEXT 24 HOURS AS
MOIST WESTERLY FLOW ALOFT INTERACTS WITH THE TERRAIN. AN
ADDITIONAL 12 TO 18 INCHES OF SNOW IS LIKELY FOR THE SNOWY AND
SIERRA MADRE MOUNTAIN RANGES THROUGH TUESDAY MORNING. STORM TOTAL
ACCUMULATIONS MAY APPROACH 4 FEET ON WEST AND NORTHWEST FACING
SLOPES. ENERGY FROM A STRONG LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM OVER EASTERN
NEBRASKA TONIGHT WILL MOVE INTO THE NORTHERN NEBRASKA PANHANDLE.
MODERATE TO BRIEFLY HEAVY SNOW IS EXPECTED ALONG THE PINE RIDGE AS
WELL AS MOST OF DAWES COUNTY. COMBINATION OF STRONG NORTH WINDS
AND ACCUMULATING SNOW WILL CREATE NEAR BLIZZARD CONDITIONS ACROSS
THE NORTHERN PANHANDLE TONIGHT.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN CHEYENNE HAS ISSUED A WINTER
STORM WARNING FOR SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM
8 PM THIS EVENING TO 11 AM MST TUESDAY.

* TIMING...STRONG WINDS WILL DEVELOP AS EARLY AS 8 PM THIS EVENING
  WITH SNOW BECOMING WIDESPREAD TOWARDS MIDNIGHT. GREATEST SNOW
  ACCUMULATIONS WILL OCCUR BETWEEN MIDNIGHT AND 6 AM TUESDAY. SNOW
  LOOKS TO COME TO AN END BY LATE MORNING TUESDAY.

* TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...4 TO 6 INCHES OF SNOW IS EXPECTED
  WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS ON NORTH FACING SLOPES OF THE PINE
  RIDGE.

* WINDS/VISIBILITY...25 TO 35 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 45 MPH. NEAR
  WHITEOUT CONDITIONS ARE LIKELY IN FALLING AND BLOWING SNOW.

* IMPACTS...TRAVEL ACROSS THE NORTHERN NEBRASKA PANHANDLE WILL
  BECOME HAZARDOUS LATE THIS EVENING AND PERSIST THROUGH THE
  MORNING COMMUTE TUESDAY. STRONG WINDS WILL CREATE AREAS OF
  BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW THAT WILL IMPACT ROADS AND MAKE
  DRIVING CONDITIONS HAZARDOUS OVERNIGHT.

A WINTER STORM WARNING FOR HEAVY SNOW AND STRONG WINDS MEANS
SEVERE WINTER WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED OR OCCURRING.
SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF SNOW ARE FORECAST THAT WILL MAKE TRAVEL
DANGEROUS. ONLY TRAVEL IN AN EMERGENCY. IF YOU MUST TRAVEL...KEEP
