DAKOTA AND SOUTHEAST NORTH DAKOTA.

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT.

ISOLATED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE ACROSS PORTIONS
OF WESTERN AND CENTRAL NORTH DAKOTA TONIGHT.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY.

SHOWERS AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO BECOME MORE
WIDESPREAD SATURDAY AND CONTINUE THROUGH SUNDAY. HEAVY RAIN IS
LIKELY...AND THIS COULD LEAD TO OVERLAND FLOODING AND QUICK RISES
IN SMALL STREAMS THIS WEEKEND. THIS IS ESPECIALLY TRUE OF AREAS
THAT EXPERIENCED SEVERAL INCHES OF RAINFALL IN THE LAST WEEK. MORE

.A STRONG LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL BRING SHOWERS AND SCATTERED
THUNDERSTORMS TO WESTERN AND CENTRAL NORTH DAKOTA LATE TONIGHT
THROUGH SUNDAY. PRECIPITATION WILL MOVE INTO WESTERN NORTH DAKOTA
TONIGHT AND SPREAD ACROSS THE CENTRAL SATURDAY AND SATURDAY
NIGHT...THEN END FROM SOUTH TO NORTH ON SUNDAY. RAINFALL AMOUNTS
BETWEEN 1 AND 3 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE ACROSS MUCH OF THE AREA...WITH
THE POTENTIAL FOR EVEN HIGHER AMOUNTS.

RAINFALL OVER THE PAST WEEK HAS KEPT SOIL MOISTURE VERY HIGH
ACROSS WESTERN AND CENTRAL NORTH DAKOTA. ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAIN COULD
LEAD TO OVERLAND FLOODING...AND FLOODING OF CREEKS...STREAMS AND
SOME RIVERS.

  RENVILLE...ROLETTE AND WARD. IN NORTHWEST NORTH DAKOTA...
  BURKE...DIVIDE...MOUNTRAIL AND WILLIAMS. IN SOUTH CENTRAL

* BETWEEN 1 AND 3 INCHES OF RAINFALL OVER NEARLY SATURATED SOILS.

* FLOODING OF CREEKS AND STREAM AND NORMALLY LOW DRAINAGE AREAS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLOOD WATCH MEANS THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR FLOODING. MONITOR
FORECASTS AND BE ALERT FOR POSSIBLE FLOOD WARNINGS. THOSE LIVING
IN AREAS PRONE TO FLOODING SHOULD BE PREPARED TO MOVE TO HIGHER
GROUND SHOULD FLOODING DEVELOP.

HEAVY RAIN COULD LEAD TO OVERLAND FLOODING...AND FLOODING OF
CREEKS...STREAMS...AND RIVERS. THIS IS ESPECIALLY TRUE FOR THOSE
AREAS THAT RECEIVED HEAVY RAIN THIS PAST WEEK.
