THROUGH THE UPCOMING WEEKEND...

.A STALLED FRONTAL BOUNDARY ACROSS THE PIEDMONT OF NORTH CAROLINA
COMBINED WITH A STREAM OF TROPICAL MOISTURE WILL PRODUCE HEAVY
RAINFALL OVER THE AREA THROUGH THIS WEEKEND. RADAR ESTIMATES OF
ONE TO FOUR INCHES FELL ACROSS EASTERN NORTH CAROLINA ON FRIDAY.
ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF TWO TO FOUR INCHES ARE EXPECTED
THROUGH SUNDAY...WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS POSSIBLE. THIS AMOUNT
OF RAINFALL OVER ALREADY SATURATED SOILS MAY LEAD TO FLOODING
ACROSS EASTERN NORTH CAROLINA...PARTICULARLY IN POOR DRAINAGE
AREAS AND NEAR SMALL STREAMS AND CREEKS.

  JONES...LENOIR...MAINLAND DARE...MAINLAND HYDE...MARTIN...
  ONSLOW...OUTER BANKS DARE...OUTER BANKS HYDE...PAMLICO...
  PITT...TYRRELL AND WASHINGTON.

* THROUGH SUNDAY EVENING

* ONE TO FOUR INCHES HAS BEEN OBSERVED ACROSS EASTERN NORTH
  CAROLINA OVER THE PAST 24 HOURS...WITH AN ADDITIONAL TWO TO FOUR
  INCHES POSSIBLE THROUGH SUNDAY. HEAVY RAIN OVER ALREADY SATURATED
  SOILS MAY CAUSE FLOODING ACROSS EASTERN NORTH CAROLINA THIS
  WEEKEND.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLOOD WATCH MEANS THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR FLOODING BASED ON
CURRENT FORECASTS.

YOU SHOULD MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND BE ALERT FOR POSSIBLE
FLOOD WARNINGS. THOSE LIVING IN AREAS PRONE TO FLOODING SHOULD BE

NORTHWEST THROUGH EASTERN NORTH CAROLINA THIS AFTERNOON. THIS WILL
BE A FOCUS FOR PERIODS OF RAIN WHICH MAY BE HEAVY AT TIMES THROUGH
TONIGHT.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY.

THE FRONTAL BOUNDARY WILL STALL ACROSS PIEDMONT SECTIONS OF THE
