ILLINOIS...SOUTHWEST INDIANA...WESTERN KENTUCKY AND SOUTHEAST
MISSOURI.

STORM CHANCES WILL INCREASE WITH TIME...RESULTING IN HEAVY RAINS
BY TONIGHT AS A FLASH FLOOD WATCH BEGINS FOR THE SOUTHWEST HALF OF
THE HEARTLAND. REFER TO THE WATCH FOR MORE DETAILS.

ISOLATED STORMS DURING THIS TIME FRAME MAY ALSO POSE A SLIGHT RISK
OF SEVERE WEATHER...WITH DAMAGING WINDS THE MOST PROBABLE HAZARD.

FLOODING CONTINUES ON AREA RIVERS. REFER TO THE WARNINGS AND
STATEMENTS FOR DETAILS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES THROUGH THURSDAY FOR THE SOUTHWEST
HALF OF THE QUAD STATE REGION. RAIN TOTALS OF ONE TO THREE INCHES
WILL BE COMMONPLACE ACROSS THE ENTIRE HEARTLAND...WITH UPWARDS OF
3 TO 5 INCHES LOCALLY POSSIBLE IN THE WATCH AREA. REFER TO THE
WATCH FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION.

FLOODING CONTINUES ON AREA RIVERS. REFER TO THE WARNINGS AND
STATEMENTS FOR DETAILS.

THROUGH THURSDAY EVENING...

THE FLASH FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES FOR

* PORTIONS OF SOUTHERN ILLINOIS...WESTERN KENTUCKY AND SOUTHEAST
  MISSOURI...GENERALLY SOUTH OF A LINE FROM CARBONDALE ILLINOIS TO
  GREENVILLE KENTUCKY INCLUDING PADUCAH...CAPE GIRARDEAU...POPLAR
  BLUFF...MURRAY AND HOPKINSVILLE.

* FROM 7 PM CDT THIS EVENING THROUGH THURSDAY EVENING.

* RAINS WILL TOTAL 2 TO 3 INCHES ON AVERAGE TONIGHT THROUGH
  THURSDAY. THESE BROAD AND UNIFORM RAINFALL AMOUNTS WILL LEAD TO
  AREAL FLOODING. WHERE THUNDERSTORMS OCCUR AND REPEAT OVER THE
  SAME AREAS...LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS TO 5 INCHES ARE A
  POSSIBILITY. THIS MAY CAUSE FLASH FLOODING.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS MAY DEVELOP THAT LEAD
TO FLASH FLOODING. FLASH FLOODING IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

YOU SHOULD MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND BE PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION
SHOULD FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS BE ISSUED.
