CENTRAL MISSOURI AS WELL AS WEST CENTRAL AND SOUTHWEST ILLINOIS.

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT

THERE IS A CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS TONIGHT. A FEW OF THE STORMS
OVER SOUTHERN MISSOURI AND SOUTHERN ILLINOIS COULD BE STRONG TO
SEVERE AND CAPABLE OF PRODUCING DAMAGING WINDS...LARGE HAIL...AND
HEAVY RAINFALL.

POINTS ALONG THE ILLINOIS RIVER WILL CONTINUE TO BE IN MAJOR
FLOOD THROUGH AT LEAST THE 4TH OF JULY WEEKEND.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY

THE CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY.

POINTS ALONG THE ILLINOIS RIVER WILL CONTINUE TO BE IN MAJOR
FLOOD THROUGH AT LEAST THE 4TH OF JULY WEEKEND.

  BOONE COUNTY IN CENTRAL MISSOURI...

* UNTIL 900 PM CDT THURSDAY

* AT 856 AM CDT...LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT REPORTED THAT A NUMBER OF
  ROADS SCATTERED THROUGHOUT BOONE COUNTY REMAIN CLOSED DUE FLOODING
  FROM THE HEAVY RAIN LAST NIGHT.

* SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
  COLUMBIA...CENTRALIA...ASHLAND...HALLSVILLE...STURGEON...
  ROCHEPORT...MURRY...MIDWAY...HARRISBURG...HARTSBURG...LUPUS...
  MCBAINE AND WILTON.

THIS WARNING ALSO INCLUDES ...
ROCK BRIDGE STATE PARK...FINGER LAKES STATE PARK...AND JEWELL
CEMETERY HISTORIC SITE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR HAS BEEN REPORTED.
STREAM RISES WILL BE SLOW AND FLASH FLOODING IS NOT EXPECTED.
HOWEVER...ALL INTERESTED PARTIES SHOULD TAKE NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS
IMMEDIATELY.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
