THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTHERN CONNECTICUT...ALL OF
MASSACHUSETTS EXCEPT BERKSHIRE COUNTY...AND RHODE ISLAND.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

AN ISOLATED STRONG TO MARGINALLY SEVERE THUNDERSTORM OR TWO IS
POSSIBLE THIS AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING ACROSS INTERIOR SOUTHERN
NEW ENGLAND...PARTICULARLY ACROSS WESTERN MA WHERE ACTIVITY IS
EXPECTED TO BE MOST NUMEROUS. THE MAIN CONCERN WITH ANY
THUNDERSTORM WILL BE THE POTENTIAL FOR VERY LOCALIZED HEAVY
RAINFALL/STREET FLOODING.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY.

MEMORIAL DAY...

BANDS OF TORRENTIAL RAINFALL AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ARE
EXPECTED TO AFFECT THE REGION ON MEMORIAL DAY. WHILE THE HEAVIEST
RAINFALL WILL BE VERY LOCALIZED, IT IS POSSIBLE FOR A FEW
LOCATIONS TO RECEIVE 2+ INCHES OF RAIN IN LESS THAN AN HOUR. THIS
WILL RESULT IN THE POTENTIAL FOR LOCALIZED FLASH FLOODING,
PARTICULARLY IF THE HEAVIEST RAIN BANDS CROSS OUR MORE VULNERABLE
URBAN CENTERS.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

WEATHER SPOTTERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO REPORT SIGNIFICANT WEATHER
CONDITIONS ACCORDING TO STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES.
