THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTHWESTERN
CONNECTICUT...WESTERN MASSACHUSETTS...EAST CENTRAL NEW YORK AND
SOUTHERN VERMONT.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

THERE IS A SLIGHT RISK OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS THIS AFTERNOON INTO
EARLY THIS EVENING. THE THUNDERSTORMS WILL FORM AHEAD OF AN UPPER
LEVEL DISTURBANCE AND A SURFACE TROUGH. THE MAIN SEVERE THREAT
WITH THE THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE DAMAGING WINDS OF 58 MPH OR
GREATER. THE THUNDERSTORMS WILL MOVE FROM THE SOUTHWEST TO
NORTHEAST AT 35 TO 40 MPH.

THE THUNDERSTORMS WILL PRODUCE SOME VERY HEAVY RAINFALL. IF THE
THUNDERSTORMS REPEATEDLY MOVE OVER THE SAME AREA OR THE GROUND IS
NOT ABLE TO ABSORB THE INTENSE RAINFALL RATES...THEN AN ISOLATED
FLASH FLOOD WILL BE POSSIBLE.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY.

THERE IS A CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS ON THURSDAY. THE THUNDERSTORMS
ARE NOT EXPECTED TO BE SEVERE AT THIS TIME.

THERE IS ALSO A CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS SATURDAY INTO SATURDAY
NIGHT. SOME LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL IS POSSIBLE WITH THE
THUNDERSTORMS.
