  CALCASIEU RIVER NEAR GLENMORA AFFECTING RAPIDES PARISH
  CALCASIEU RIVER AT OLD TOWN BAY AFFECTING CALCASIEU PARISH

 .SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL BEGIN TO DEVELOP ACROSS THE REGION
TODAY AND INCREASE IN AREAL COVERAGE AND INTENSITY OVERNIGHT.
RAINFALL AMOUNTS WITH THIS EVENT LOOK TO BE 1 TO 3 INCHES WITH
LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS IF THESE RAINFALL AMOUNTS DO MATERIALIZE AS
PREDICTED...THE AREA RIVER SYSTEM WILL SEE SIGNIFICANT RISES.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLOOD WATCH MEANS CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE FOR FLOODING OF LOW
LYING AREAS AND ALONG RIVERS AND STREAMS. IF YOU ARE IN THE WATCH
AREA REMAIN ALERT TO POSSIBLE FLOODING OR IF A WARNING IS ISSUED.

DO NOT DRIVE INTO FLOODED AREAS OR ATTEMPT TO CROSS ROADWAYS COVERED

* FROM LATE SATURDAY NIGHT TO TUESDAY MORNING.
* AT  5:00 AM THURSDAY THE STAGE WAS 3.3 FEET.
* MINOR FLOODING IS POSSIBLE.
* FLOOD STAGE IS 4.0 FEET.
* FORECAST...FLOOD STAGE MAY BE REACHED BY EARLY SUNDAY MORNING.
* IMPACT...AT STAGES NEAR 5.0 FEET...WATER OVER LOWEST PORTIONS OF
  GOOS FERRY ROAD. CARS SHOULD BE MOVED TO HIGHER GROUND.
* IMPACT...AT STAGES NEAR 4.0 FEET...MINOR FLOODING OF GOOS FERRY
  ROAD WILL OCCUR.

SCATTERED SHOWERS THIS MORNING WITH A FEW THUNDERSTORMS POSSIBLE
THIS AFTERNOON INTO THE EVENING TIME FRAME. CHANCES FOR RAINS WILL
BE ON A SLOW INCREASE TODAY INTO TONIGHT.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS EXPECTED ON FRIDAY AS A WARM FRONT BACKS
ACROSS THE REGION. THERE WILL BE A CHANCE THAT A FEW STORMS MAY
BECOME SEVERE... THE MAIN THREAT WILL BE FROM WINDS. ALSO...RAINS
WILL BE HEAVY AT TIMES ACROSS THE LAKES REGION IN SOUTHEAST TEXAS
AND CENTRAL LOUISIANA. RAINS ENDING DURING THE OVERNIGHT HOURS ON
SATURDAY MORNING...AS A COLD FRONT WILL PUSH THROUGH FRIDAY
EVENING. A DRY AND COOL WEEKEND ON TAP.
