THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF THE NORTHWEST
GULF OF MEXICO...CENTRAL LOUISIANA...SOUTH CENTRAL LOUISIANA...
SOUTHWEST LOUISIANA...WEST CENTRAL LOUISIANA AND SOUTHEAST TEXAS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT
WIDELY SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE
TODAY...MAINLY SOUTH OF AN OPELOUSAS TO LEESVILLE TO KOUNTZE LINE.
OCCASIONAL LIGHTNING AND BRIEF DOWNPOURS WILL BE THE MAIN THREATS
WITH THE STORMS. OTHERWISE THE PRIMARY WEATHER CONCERN TODAY WILL
BE THE HEAT. HIGH TEMPERATURES WILL RANGE FROM THE LOWER 90S
ACROSS THE COASTAL PLAINS TO THE MID 90S FROM INTERSTATE 10
NORTHWARD. HOWEVER WHEN COMBINED WITH THE HUMIDITY...TEMPERATURES
WILL FEEL LIKE 100 TO 103 DEGREES ACROSS THE ENTIRE AREA. IF
WORKING OR PLAYING OUTSIDE TODAY TAKE THE NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS
TO PROTECT YOURSELF FROM THE HEAT...INCLUDING DRINKING PLENTY OF
WATER...WEARING LIGHTWEIGHT AND LIGHT-COLORED CLOTHING...AND
TAKING OCCASIONAL BREAKS FROM PHYSICAL ACTIVITY.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY
RAIN CHANCES AND TEMPERATURES ON SUNDAY WILL BE A GENERAL REPEAT
OF TODAY. HOWEVER RAIN CHANCES WILL INCREASE A BIT DURING THE COMING
WEEK WITH THE APPROACH OF ANOTHER FRONTAL BOUNDARY. HEAVY
RAINFALL WITH LOCALIZED FLOODING MAY BE A CONCERN BY THE MIDDLE OF
THE COMING WEEK AS THE FRONT STALLS OVER THE REGION.
