THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF CENTRAL
LOUISIANA...SOUTH CENTRAL LOUISIANA...SOUTHWEST LOUISIANA...WEST
CENTRAL LOUISIANA...EAST CENTRAL TEXAS AND SOUTHEAST TEXAS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT
HOT AND HUMID CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED...WITH AFTERNOON HEAT INDEX
READINGS BETWEEN 105 AND 112 DEGREES. THE HIGHEST HEAT INDEX
VALUES ARE EXPECTED ALONG AND NORTHEAST OF A LINE FROM LEESVILLE
TO OPELOUSAS AND A HEAT ADVISORY WILL BE IN EFFECT ACROSS THIS
AREA DURING THE AFTERNOON.

OTHERWISE...ISOLATED TO WIDELY SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS
WILL BE POSSIBLE MAINLY ACROSS THE SOUTHERN HALF OF THE AREA.
SEVERE WEATHER IS NOT EXPECTED BUT SOME STORMS WILL BE CAPABLE OF
PRODUCING FREQUENT CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING AND GUSTY WINDS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY
HOT AND HUMID CONDITIONS WILL PERSIST THROUGH THE END OF THE WEEK
AS THE UPPER LEVEL HIGH MEANDERS OVER THE REGION. AFTERNOON HEAT
INDEX READINGS WILL BE AROUND 105 DEGREES. RAIN CHANCES WILL BE
MINIMAL UNTIL THURSDAY WHEN THE HIGH PRESSURE SYSTEM BEGINS TO
SHIFT WEST. THIS WILL LEAD TO SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS
INTO THE WEEKEND. THE MAIN HAZARDS WILL BE FREQUENT
LIGHTNING...GUSTY WINDS...AND LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL.
