LOUISIANA...SOUTH CENTRAL LOUISIANA...SOUTHWEST LOUISIANA...WEST
CENTRAL LOUISIANA AND SOUTHEAST TEXAS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT
A VIGOROUS STORM SYSTEM ADVANCING EAST OVER THE SOUTHERN PLAINS
WILL BRING WIDESPREAD SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS THIS AFTERNOON
INTO EARLY SUNDAY. SOME OF THESE STORMS COULD BE SEVERE WITH
DAMAGING WINDS THE PRIMARY SEVERE WEATHER THREAT...BUT CANNOT RULE
OUT THE POSSIBILITY OF HAIL OR TORNADOES WITH THESE THUNDERSTORMS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY
THE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL END FROM WEST TO EAST EARLY
SUNDAY MORNING...WITH NO PRECIPITATION EXPECTED FOR THE REMAINDER
OF THANKSGIVING WEEK.

...MINOR TIDAL FLOODING EXPECTED TONIGHT INTO EARLY SUNDAY...

.INCREASING SOUTHEAST TO SOUTH WINDS WILL CONTINUE OVER THE COASTAL
WATERS TODAY INTO SUNDAY IN RESPONSE TO A VIGOROUS STORM SYSTEM
ADVANCING EAST OVER THE SOUTHERN PLAINS. THE INCREASING SOUTHERLY
WINDS WILL BRING WATER LEVELS 1 TO 2 FEET ABOVE NORMAL TODAY
THROUGH EARLY SUNDAY ACROSS THE COASTAL LAKES AND BAYS. WITH THE
TIMING OF HIGH TIDE AROUND 2 FEET OVERNIGHT...TOTAL TIDAL LEVELS
COULD REACH 3.5 TO 4.0 FEET MLLW.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LAKE CHARLES HAS ISSUED A COASTAL
FLOOD ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO
6 AM CST SUNDAY.

* TIDAL LEVELS: ACTUAL WATER LEVELS AT THE TIME OF HIGH TIDE EXPECTED
  TO REACH BETWEEN 2.5 AND 3.0 FEET MEAN LOWER LOW WATER.

* TIMING: HIGHEST TIDES EXPECTED BETWEEN 9 PM SATURDAY EVENING
  THROUGH 3 AM SUNDAY MORNING.

* IMPACTS: LOCATIONS EXPECTED TO BE IMPACTED BY A MINOR TIDAL
  SURGE: SECONDARY ROADS AND LOW SPOTS AROUND CALCASIEU LAKE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY INDICATES THAT ONSHORE WINDS AND TIDES
WILL COMBINE TO GENERATE FLOODING OF LOW AREAS ALONG THE SHORE.
