THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF CENTRAL KENTUCKY.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

WIDESPREAD RAIN AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TODAY
WITHIN A VERY HUMID AND TROPICAL AIR MASS. PERIODS OF HEAVY RAIN
ARE EXPECTED. IN AREAS THAT SEE REPEATED STORMS...SOME RUNOFF
PROBLEMS MAY DEVELOP.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY.

THUNDERSTORMS ARE FORECAST EACH DAY...BUT THE BEST CHANCE LOOKS TO
BE TUESDAY...AS A COOL FRONT APPROACHES THE REGION FROM THE
NORTHWEST. ANY STORM THAT DEVELOPS WILL CONTAIN LIGHTNING WITH
THE POSSIBILITY OF GUSTY WINDS AND LOCALIZED HEAVY RAINFALL.

EAST CENTRAL KENTUCKY...

.A TROPICAL PLUME WILL CONTINUE TO PUMP COPIOUS AMOUNTS OF MOISTURE
FROM THE GULF OF MEXICO INTO THE OHIO VALLEY. MULTIPLE UPPER LEVEL
DISTURBANCES WILL MOVE NORTHEASTWARD ACROSS THE REGION YIELDING
ROUND OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS. WITH SUCH RICH MOISTURE IN
PLACE...TORRENTIAL RAINFALL WILL OCCUR WITH THUNDERSTORMS THROUGH
SUNDAY AFTERNOON.

* UNTIL 2 PM EDT /1 PM CDT/ THIS AFTERNOON

* A TROPICAL PLUME FROM THE GULF OF MEXICO WILL BRING COPIOUS
  AMOUNTS OF MOISTURE TO THE OHIO VALLEY THROUGH SUNDAY AFTERNOON.
  ROUNDS OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED AND WILL BE
  CAPABLE OF PRODUCING TORRENTIAL RAINFALL. WIDESPREAD RAINFALL
  AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 2 INCHES WILL BE POSSIBLE. HOWEVER...IN AREAS
  THAT SEE REPEATED ROUNDS OF THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY UP TO 3 INCHES
  OF RAINFALL MAY OCCUR. THIS WILL BE IN ADDITION TO RAINFALL
  AMOUNTS ALREADY RECEIVED.

* CREEKS AND RIVERS MAY OVERCOME THEIR BANKS AND INTO ROADWAYS
  WITHIN THE FLASH FLOOD WATCH AREA. IN ADDITION...TYPICAL FLOOD
  PRONE AREAS AND OTHER LOW-LYING SPOTS MAY QUICKLY FLOOD AS
  HEAVY RAINFALL PASSES THROUGH THE REGION.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS MAY DEVELOP THAT LEAD
TO FLASH FLOODING. FLASH FLOODING IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

YOU SHOULD MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND BE PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION
SHOULD FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS BE ISSUED.
