.Abundant rainfall so far this spring has caused water levels to
remain elevated along the Ohio River. Minor flooding will continue
for most locations through the end of this week with the exception
of a few going below flood stage the next couple days.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

SAFETY MESSAGE...

Never drive cars...trucks or sport utility vehicles through flooded
areas. The water may be too deep to allow safe passage. Never allow
children to play in or near flood waters. Stay tuned to NOAA Weather
Radio or your local media for further statements and possible updated
forecasts.

* until further notice.
* At  9:00 PM Monday the stage was 40.3 feet.
* Flood Stage is 39.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 41.0 feet by
  Wednesday morning.
* Impact...At 43.0 Feet...Moderate flooding occurs affecting several
  small unprotected towns.

* until Friday evening.
* At  9:00 PM Monday the stage was 40.4 feet.
* Flood Stage is 40.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 41.0 feet by
  Wednesday morning. The river will fall below flood stage Friday
  afternoon.
* Impact...At 40.0 Feet...Minor flooding occurs affecting mainly
  bottomland and surrounding and low lying areas.

* Flood Stage is 40.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 43.8 feet by
  tomorrow evening. The river will fall below flood stage Saturday
  afternoon.
