THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.

  WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:

   ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS...SOME OF WHICH MAY PRODUCE...
    MODERATE TO HEAVY DOWNPOURS.
    WIND GUSTS UP TO 40 MPH.
    HAIL TO HALF INCH IN DIAMETER.
    CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING.

  AREAS AFFECTED AND TIMING:

  PRIMARILY NORTHERN ILLINOIS NORTH OF INTERSTATE 80 THROUGH EARLY
  AFTERNOON.

  DISCUSSION:

 SCATTERED SHOWERS AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS WILL MOVE ROUGHLY
 ALONG THE INTERSTATE 88 CORRIDOR THROUGH THE EARLY AFTERNOON AS
 AN OUTFLOW BOUNDARY AND UPPER DISTURBANCE PROGRESS EASTWARD. TO
 THE SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 80...ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE
 ALONG AND AHEAD OF A SLOW MOVING COLD FRONT.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY.

ADDITIONAL THUNDERSTORM CHANCES WILL OCCUR LATER IN THE
WEEK...MAINLY ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT AND AGAIN FRIDAY.

VERY WARM AND HUMID WEATHER FOR LATE SUMMER IS EXPECTED ACROSS
MUCH OF THE AREA THURSDAY AND FOR LOCATIONS SOUTH OF INTERSTATE
80 ON FRIDAY. DAYTIME HEAT INDEX VALUES MAY REACH 95 TO 105
DEGREES.

DANGEROUS SWIMMING CONDITIONS ARE POSSIBLE AT LAKE MICHIGAN
BEACHES FRIDAY NIGHT AND SATURDAY.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

SPOTTER ACTIVATION WILL NOT BE NECESSARY THROUGH TONIGHT.
