...NORTH PACIFIC STORM TONIGHT AND SATURDAY...

.A RELATIVELY STRONG NORTH PACIFIC STORM WILL BRING SNOW TO
IDAHO MOUNTAIN AREAS AND FREEZING RAIN TO THE COLDER LOWER
VALLEYS TONIGHT AND SATURDAY. WINDS SATURDAY WILL BE STRONG
ENOUGH TO SCOUR THE INVERSION FROM THE VALLEYS AND THE
VALLEYS WILL BECOME WARM ENOUGH TO MELT SOME OF THE SNOW
FROM LAST WEEK/S STORM.

11 AM MST SATURDAY...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BOISE HAS ISSUED A WINTER WEATHER
ADVISORY FOR SNOW AND/OR FREEZING RAIN IN THE WEST CENTRAL IDAHO
MOUNTAINS...BOISE MOUNTAINS...CAMAS PRAIRIE...UPPER WEISER RIVER
AREA...OWYHEE MOUNTAINS...AND THE LOWER TREASURE VALLEY IN OREGON
AND IDAHO...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 8 PM THIS EVENING TO 11 AM
MST SATURDAY.

* SNOW AMOUNTS...4 TO 8 INCHES IN THE MOUNTAINS. AROUND TWO INCHES
  IN THE LOWER TREASURE VALLEY. FREEZING RAIN IN THE LOWER
  TREASURE VALLEY MAY ADD A THIN GLAZE.

* SNOW LEVELS...VALLEY FLOORS AT FIRST RISING TO 4500 FEET MSL IN
  THE WEST CENTRAL IDAHO MOUNTAINS TO 6000 FEET IN THE OWYHEE
  MOUNTAINS.

* WINDS...LIGHT WINDS THIS EVENING BECOMING SOUTHEAST 10 TO 15 MPH
  SATURDAY...EXCEPT REMAINING LIGHT AND VARIABLE IN THE LOWER
  TREASURE VALLEY.

* TIMING...TONIGHT AND SATURDAY MORNING.

* IMPACTS...SNOW-COVERED ROADS IN THE MOUNTAINS AND SNOW AND ICE-
  COVERED ROADS IN THE TREASURE VALLEY WILL CREATE ADDITIONAL
  TRAVEL PROBLEMS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW...SLEET...OR
FREEZING RAIN WILL CAUSE TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR
SLIPPERY ROADS AND LIMITED VISIBILITIES...AND USE CAUTION WHILE
DRIVING.
